  • Patent number: 11520626
Abstract: A method and system for an enhanced weighted fair queuing technique for a resource are provided. A plurality of request streams is received at a requestor, each request stream including request messages from a process executing on the requestor. The request messages of each request stream are apportioned to an input queue associated with the request stream; each input queue has a weight. A virtual finish time is determined for each request message based, at least in part, on the weights of the input queues. A sequence of request messages is determined based, at least in part, on the virtual finish times of the request messages. The sequence of request messages is enqueued into an output queue. The sequence of request messages is sent to a resource, over a connection, which provides a service for each process.

  • Publication number: 20220351720
Abstract: Implementations described herein relate to reducing latency in automated assistant interactions. In some implementations, a client device can receive audio data that captures a spoken utterance of a user. The audio data can be processed to determine an assistant command to be performed by an automated assistant. The assistant command can be processed, using a latency prediction model, to generate a predicted latency to fulfill the assistant command. Further, the client device (or the automated assistant) can determine, based on the predicted latency, whether to audibly render pre-cached content for presentation to the user prior to audibly rendering content that is responsive to the spoken utterance. The pre-cached content can be tailored to the assistant command and audibly rendered for presentation to the user while the content is being obtained, and the content can be audibly rendered for presentation to the user subsequent to the pre-cached content.

  • Publication number: 20220345886
Abstract: Detection and prevention of resource drain from unauthorized wireless device connections is provided. Responsive to receiving of a connection request from a connecting device, a pre-authentication message is sent to the connecting device, the pre-authentication message including a challenge value. A vehicle hash result is computed using a hash function taking the challenge value and the unique identifier of the vehicle as inputs. A device hash result is received from the connecting device. Responsive to a match of the vehicle hash result and the device hash result, additional hardware of the vehicle is activated to perform a secondary authentication of the connecting device. Responsive to a mismatch, authentication of the connecting device is rejected without activation of the additional hardware, thereby avoiding key-off load from the additional hardware in instances where pre-authentication of the connecting device fails.

  • Patent number: 11468351
Abstract: A brain computer interface (BCI) system predicts text based on input and output signals obtained in relation to an individual that are informative for determining an individual's neurobiological activity. The BCI system applies a first predictive model to the input signal and a second predictive model to the output signal. The first predictive model predicts the forward propagation of the input signal through the individual's head whereas the second predictive model predicts the backward propagation of the output signal through the individual's head. Each of the first predictive model and second predictive model predicts characteristics of their respective signal at a common plane such as the cortical surface of the individual's brain. The BCI system predicts text by applying a third predictive model to the predicted signal characteristics at the common plane outputted by the first predictive model and the second predictive model.

  • Publication number: 20220319177
Abstract: System, apparatus and method of image processing to detect a substance spill on a solid surface such as a floor is disclosed. First data representing a first image, captured by an image sensor, of a region including a solid surface, is received. A trained semantic segmentation neural network is applied to the first image data to determine, for each pixel of the first image, a spill classification value associated with the pixel, the determined spill classification value for a given pixel indicating the extent to which the trained semantic segmentation neural network estimates, based on its training, that the given pixel illustrates a substance spill. The presence of a substance spill on the solid surface is detected based on the determined spill classification values of the pixels of the first image.
