  • Patent number: 10977562
Abstract: A computing method receives a labeled sample from an annotator. The method may determine a plurality of reference model risk scores for the first labeled sample, where each reference model risk score corresponds to an amount of risk associated with adding the first labeled sample to a respective reference model of a plurality of reference models. The method may determine an overall risk score for the first labeled sample based on the plurality of reference model risk scores. The method may further determine a probe for confirmation of the first labeled sample and a trust score for the annotator by sending the probe to one or more annotators. In response to determining a trust score for the annotator the method may add the labeled sample to a ground truth or reject the labeled sample.

  • Publication number: 20210080181
Abstract: A space oven operates in microgravity environments by forcing convection towards the center through a unique heating element and airflow design. The space oven includes a tubular chamber, a heating rack, a heating system, a cooling system, a hatch, a user interface, a microcontroller, an enclosure, at least one first vent, at least one second vent and at least one temperature sensor. The tubular chamber is the cooking area. The heating rack holds consumables in place. The heating system heats up consumables. The cooling system prevents any overheating. The hatch closes off and allows access to the inside of the tubular chamber. The user interface allows a user to input commands. The microcontroller manages the electronic components. The enclosure protects the tubular chamber. The at least one first vent and the at least one second vent reduce pressure buildup. The at least one temperature sensor monitors the internal temperature.

  • Publication number: 20200272938
Abstract: A method optimizes a training of a machine learning system. A conflict detection system discovers a conflict between a first training data and a second training data for a machine learning system, where the first training data and the second training data are ground truths that describe a same type of entity, and where the first training data and the second training data have different labels. In response to discovering the conflict between the first training data and the second training data for the machine learning system, an oracle adjusts the different labels of the first training data and the second training data. The machine learning system is then trained using the first training data and the second training data with the adjusted labels.

  • Publication number: 20200216200
Abstract: A grapple-fixture deployment device allows for an easy, quick, and safe disposal of an unnecessary payload from a space station. The grapple-fixture deployment device includes a space station remote manipulator system (SSRMS)-securing module, a separation system, a payload-securing module, a first attachment mechanism, and a second attachment mechanism. The SSRMS-securing module allows the grapple-fixture deployment device to be attached to the robotic arm apparatus of a mobile servicing system (MSS). The separation system is a spacecraft deployment system that is used to eject the payload-securing mechanism from the rest of the grapple-fixture deployment device. The payload-securing module allows the grapple-fixture deployment device to be attached to a payload. The first attachment mechanism is used to attach the SSRMS-securing module to the robotic arm apparatus of a MSS. The second attachment mechanism is used to attach the payload-securing module to the payload.

  • Publication number: 20190262833
Abstract: A reactor microplate that allows for a researcher to perform a multitude of experiment in micro-gravity without risking potential exposure. The microplate includes a planar housing and an at least one chamber-mixing assembly. The chamber-mixing assembly includes a first retaining mechanism, a second retaining mechanism, a mixing channel, and an activation valve. The first retaining mechanism and the second retaining mechanism house solutions for an experiment and are positioned offset to each other, across the planar housing. The mixing channel fluidly couples the first retaining mechanism to the second retaining mechanism. Specifically, the mixing channel traverses into the planar housing from the first retaining mechanism to the second retaining mechanism. The activation valve is mechanically integrated in between the first retaining mechanism, the mixing channel, and the second retaining mechanism to control the flow of fluids in between the first retaining mechanism and the second retaining mechanism.

  • Patent number: 10397752
Abstract: An aspect of the disclosure includes a method, a system and a computer program product for matching a participant with an interest group at a venue. The system including computer inputs that receive signals identifying locations of participants in a venue having sessions, the computer inputs identifying a session location for each participant. An aggregator is coupled the computer inputs and determines interests of each participant by aggregating common session characteristics with participant behavioral characteristics and ranking a degree of interests for each participant. A matcher is coupled to the aggregator receives interest group ranked lists for each interest group, the matcher further matching the interest group to the participant by matching the degree of interests for each participant to the interest group interests. A signal output is coupled to the matcher and transmits an output signal to a representative based on a relevancy parameter being above a threshold.

  • Patent number: 10043554
Abstract: A periodic rotational vibration check for storage devices to compensate for varying loads is disclosed. A variable representing rotational vibration status is maintained in a rotational vibration log. The variable is processed to determine whether a storage device exhibits a rotational vibration issue. Workload analysis is performed to identify a change to the workloads run on physically separate hardware to resolve the rotational vibration issue and thus eliminate the need for more expensive hardware.
