Abstract: The current invention pertains to a system and a method for detection and monitoring of traffic patterns and securely processing events of violations of Slow-Down-Move-Over (SDMO) traffic regulations on at least one designated traffic surface utilizing at least one mobile platform, equipped with at least one traffic monitoring and recording system for observation, monitoring, recording, storing and processing data pertinent to potential violations of a set of SDMO regulations, prepositioned in proximity of at least one traffic scene including the at least one traffic surface.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus for providing protected content to subscribers of a managed (e.g., MSO) network via a content source accessible via an internetwork such as the Internet. In one embodiment, a user accesses a service provider portal (e.g., website), and requests content. The service provider determines whether the requesting user is permitted to access the content, and what rights or restrictions are associated with the user. This includes authenticating the user as a subscriber of the MSO, and determining the subscriber's subscription level. In another embodiment, a user's account with the MSO and service provider may be federated, thus a given user will have MSO-specific information regarding its identity (such as login information, GUID, etc.) and is able to perform a single sign on to request and receive content.

Abstract: Over-the-air radio broadcast signals are commonly used to deliver a variety of programming content (e.g., audio, etc.) to radio receiver systems. Supplemental data (e.g., metadata) may be provided to radio broadcast receiver systems, where such supplemental data is associated with the programming content delivered via the over-the-air radio broadcast signals. In exemplary embodiments described herein, a radio receiver system receives both (i) primary programming content via over-the-air radio broadcast transmission, and (ii) metadata related to the programming content via wireless Internet. This use of metadata provides a user with an enhanced experience regardless of the type of terrestrial broadcast signal that is received at the user's radio receiver system. Users receiving radio broadcast signals at a receiver system may view images, videos, multimedia displays, text, etc., that is related to the programming content received via the over-the-air radio broadcast signals.

Abstract: The invention provides methods of identifying bacteria comprising binding polypeptides. The invention also provides methods of identifying bacteria with improved expression of binding polypeptides. The invention also provides methods of identifying binding polypeptides with improved expression. The invention also provides engineered bacteria suitable for use in the methods of the invention. The invention also provides compositions that can be obtained using the methods, for example, anti-interleukin-13 (IL-13) antibodies with improved expression and/or stability. When the DNT cookie is not found, then the provider may deliver targeted content to the user. When the DNT cookie is found, then the provider may not deliver targeted content to the user. A Web site may offer the user an “override” cookie that allows that Web site to provide targeted content, or selected targeted content, even when the user has a DNT cookie. Alternatively, a DNT header can be added to a Web page request that indicates that the user does not want to receive targeted content. The DNT header may be overridden by an override cookie.

Abstract: A device with a movement-based user interface (UI) may establish thresholds that govern when the UI moves and when the UI stays still to avoid interruptions to the user experience based on undesired movement, such as movement caused by a vehicle, etc. The thresholds may be based on detecting a movement type experienced by a device (e.g., bicycle, car, etc.). When movement is detected beyond the threshold the UI may be configured to smooth a displayed UI transition from a first position to a second position to improve the user experience.

The entitlement server sends an access granted message to the MVPD when the subscriber is entitled to receive the requested content. The IP address of the subscriber computing device is used to determine whether the computing device is connected to the network via a network access device authorized by the MVPD. The “on-net” or “off-net” status of the computing device may be used to determine whether the subscriber receives the requested content and/or a quality of service level applied to the content.

Abstract: A method for specifying content of interest using a digital radio broadcast receiver is described. A digital radio broadcast signal includes first audio content and first program data, wherein the first program data includes information identifying a first item, and includes second audio content and second program data, wherein the second program data includes information identifying a second item. A user command entered at a user interface during reception of audio content is registered, indicating a user's interest in either the first or second audio content. It is determined whether there is an ambiguity in the content of interest. If there is an ambiguity, a first data structure is stored for the first audio content, and a second data structure is stored for the second audio content. The first data structure includes the information identifying the first item, and the second data structure includes the information identifying the second item.

Abstract: A digital radio broadcast system includes a processing system that receives first audio content, first program data identifying a first item for the first audio content, second audio content, and second program data identifying a second item for the second audio content such that a start of the first program data is received at the processing system within 0.5 seconds of a start of the first audio content. A digital radio broadcast signal including the audio content and the program data is processed for digital radio broadcast transmission via a transmitter. The processing system stops delivery of the first program data to the transmitter upon receipt of the second program data, the first program data thereby being truncated, and begins delivery of the second program data to the transmitter. A digital radio broadcast receiver can tag content of interest based on a user command registered at the receiver.

Abstract: A system and method provides for the recovery of carriers stranded within a pneumatic carrier system. Initially, unresolved transaction records generated during the transit of carrier within the system are identified for carrier recovery purposes. System handling information is identified from the transaction record. Based on this information, the system determines a putative location of each a carrier associated with a transaction record. The system operates a segment of the pneumatic system including the putative carrier location to confirm the presence or absence of a stranded carrier. If a carrier is identified within that segment of the system, the carrier is deemed recovered. The carrier is then delivered to the destination location in the transaction record.
