  • Patent number: 8669453
Abstract: A foot operable percussion instrument producing jingling sounds similar to a tambourine is useable by a solo performer and possesses a wedge-shaped body with an inclined striking surface for the striking by a foot or a portion thereof. The wedge-shaped body is connected to a base plate member by a pair of rigid connectors that together define a fulcrum so that the front portion of the wedge-shaped block pivots downwardly when struck by a foot on the inclined striking surface and rights itself when the foot is lifted. The jingling sound produced is of short duration.

  • Publication number: 20140027143
Abstract: An electrical box insert device is disclosed that provides users with an easy way to terminate power to pot lights and electrical devices. The electrical box insert device comprises a housing sized to be inserted into an existing electrical box. A sheathed electrical cable is inserted through an opening of the housing and secured to a conductive bus bar continuatively connecting cables and/or terminating power to an electrical box. Typically, a user manually strips the outer sheath of the cables and the conductor sheath, exposing the conductors. The exposed conductors can then be secured to the conductive bus bar continuatively connecting cables. Furthermore, an electrical outlet can be secured via a sheathed electrical cable to the conductive bus bar continuatively connecting cables.

  • Patent number: 8620102
Abstract: Methods, apparatuses and systems providing pixel correction values for a captured image, where the correction values are determined based on a piecewise-quadratic correction function in a first direction. The parameters for the piecewise-quadratic correction function in the first direction are calculated based on a plurality of piecewise-quadratic correction functions in a second direction. The correction values may be positional gain adjustment values.

  • Patent number: 8331722
Abstract: Methods, apparatuses and systems for storing approximations of multiple spatial pixel value adjustment surfaces for use in pixel value correction. The adjustment surfaces may be used for positional gain adjustment. A representation of the multiple adjustment surfaces is stored as coefficients representing a multi-dimensional solid of two-dimensional adjustment surfaces. The stored coefficients are used to determine a plurality of additional sets of coefficients which sets are then in turn used to determine pixel correction values of adjustment surfaces.
