  • Patent number: 11864214
Abstract: An apparatus, method, and computer-readable recording medium perform client access delegation for a network device in a wireless network. A network controller of a gateway device receives a super-user client device authorization from the network admin client device, connects the super-user client device to the gateway device, receives a second-party client device access authorization from the super-user client device, and connects the second-party client device to the gateway device. The network controller of the gateway device also allocates a portion of available network bandwidth to a second group of client devices, monitors bandwidth consumption by the second group of users, and limits the bandwidth consumption of the second group of users to the allocated portion of the available bandwidth.

  • Publication number: 20230289544
Abstract: A client device coupled to an optical device provides for receiving from the optical device information associated with an optical code. The optical code is provided or otherwise generated by a sensing device that can be associated with a particular user, for example, a biometric sensing device associated with a aging-in-place user. The client device or a user causes the optical device to scan or otherwise obtain the information from the optical code. The client device converts the information to a format suitable for display on a display device based on one or more factors. The display of the converted information is at a size or resolution that allows a user to easily discern or otherwise read the converted information as compared to such information being displayed at the sensing device.

  • Publication number: 20230288983
Abstract: To provide an enhanced user experience, a virtual reality device provides one or more virtual reality activities for selection based on a tempo of an audio input detected. The audio input can be ambient audio within proximity of a user of the virtual reality device. The tempo can be determined by the virtual reality device based, for example, on a beats per minute. The one or more virtual reality activities can be associated with a tempo, one or more user preferences, and/or historical data. The virtual reality device can automatically or allow a user to select a virtual reality virtual reality activity associated with the tempo. The virtual reality device can synchronize the selected virtual reality activity to the tempo.

  • Publication number: 20230102109
Abstract: A deformation detection apparatus includes a cell movement-control assembly to handle a linear motion and a rotational motion of a battery cell, a body that supports the cell movement-control assembly, a digital micrometer, and control circuitry. The control circuitry controls a displacement of the battery cell between a first position and a second position along a longitudinal axis through a scanning region of the digital micrometer and a plurality of rotational positions of the battery cell at a plurality of charge states and a plurality of discharge states. The control circuitry measures a plurality of outer diameter values of the battery cell for a plurality of linear positions and a plurality of rotational positions along the longitudinal axis of the battery cell and determines a change in a geometrical shape (deformation and/or strain) of the battery cell for the plurality of linear positions and the plurality of rotational positions.

  • Publication number: 20220392328
Abstract: An electronic device includes proximity sensor, a memory and a processor. The proximity sensor is positioned within an enclosure of the electronic proximate to one or more air vents. The proximity sensor generates a sensing signal to detect blockage of the one or more air vents. Based on a response to the sensing signal, the proximity sensor generates an output signal indicating that one or more air vents is blocked. The processor is configured to execute computer-readable instructions stored in memory to receive the output signal from the proximity sensor indicating blockage of the one or more air vents is detected, and, in response to receiving the output signal from the proximity sensor indicating blockage of the one or more air vents is detected, forward, to one of a network device, a user device, and a service provider, a notification of the blockage of the one or more air vents.
