  • Publication number: 20100078861
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and a device for blow moulding containers. According to the invention, a preform consisting of a thermoplastic material is drawn out by a drawing bar after thermal conditioning inside a blow mould and is shaped into the container by a blowing pressure. The default positioning for the drawing bar is effected by an electromechanical drawing bar drive. A mechanical coupling device translates the rotational movement of a motor shaft of a servo motor into a lifting movement of the drawing bar.

  • Publication number: 20100007037
Abstract: The method and the apparatus serve for blow-moulding containers. After thermal conditioning, a parison is formed into the container within a blowing mould of a blow-moulding machine (41) by the action of blow-moulding pressure. The required blow-moulding gas is provided by a compressor (42). A compressor controller (44) is connected to a controller of the blow-moulding machine in such a way that the controller of the blow-moulding machine generates a setpoint value (49) for the initial pressure which is provided by the compressor.

  • Publication number: 20100007060
Abstract: The process and the apparatus serve for the blow moulding of containers (2). A parison (1) composed of a thermoplastic material is first subjected to heat conditioning along a transport path in the region of a heating section (30). The parison is then subjected to a forming process within a blow mould with exposure to blowing pressure to give heat container. The heat conditioning of the parisons is carried out by a plurality of mutually superposed radiant heaters (41). The blow moulding of the container is followed by wall-thickness measurement at at least one level within the height of the container. The heating power of a radiant heater associated with this height level is controlled. The control system receives a prescribed wall-thickness value as required value and the measured wall thickness as actual value.

  • Publication number: 20090065980
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and a device for blow-moulding containers from preforms which have been previously heated in a heating section and consist of a thermoplastic material. After being heated, said preforms are transferred to a blowing device in which they are deformed in order to form containers under the action of a blowing pressure inside blow moulds. The blow moulds respectively consist of at least two blow-moulding segments. The preforms are transported together with the blow moulds at least along part of a path of a rotating blow wheel. The blow-moulding segments are braced in relation to each other during at least part of the blow-moulding process. At least one of the blow-moulding segments is pivoted about a rotational axis in order to perform opening and closing movements.

  • Publication number: 20090039567
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and a device for blow-moulding containers from preforms which are previously heated in the region of a heating section and consist of a thermoplastic material. The preforms are transferred to a blowing device following the heating thereof, in which they are shaped to form containers by the application of a blowing pressure inside blow moulds. Said blow moulds respectively consist of at least two blow mould segments. The preforms are transported together with the blow moulds at least along part of a peripheral path of a rotating blow wheel. A separating plane of the blow mould segments is positioned at least in an opened state of the blow station in a rotational direction of the blow wheel, facing forwards, with an angle of inclination in relation to the radial direction of the blow wheel. The blow station is positioned at least in two parts during a transfer process.

  • Publication number: 20080128958
Abstract: The method and device are used to blow form containers. A preform is elongated by means of an elongation bar after thermal conditioning inside a blow mould and is moulded into a container under the effect of the blow pressure. Initially, a first blow pressure provided by a low pressure supply is used, followed by a higher pressure provided by a high pressure supply (43). The blow air is supplied via at least one blow pressure valve and at least one part of the high pressure blow air is fed into the low pressure supply after the container has been formed. The reintroduction of blow air into the low pressure supply is controlled by means of a return valve (47) which is mounted parallel to the blow pressure valve. An outlet of the return valve is connected to the low pressure supply.

  • Publication number: 20070255424
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for sensing forces, moments, temperature, inclination, acceleration and other parameters associated with prosthetic limbs. The system is capable of measuring forces in three designated axes, and moments about the same designated axes, for a total of six possible degrees of freedom. The system can be readily fitted onto a conventional prosthetic limb with no, or relatively minor, modification thereto. A plurality of sensor arrays are disposed on a support member, each array including a plurality of strain gauge sensors, each sensor outputting an electrical signal responsive to loading imposed on the support member through the prosthetic limb. Electronic circuitry in communication with the gauges is operative to receive the electrical signals from the strain gauges and provide a signal useful in the form, fit or function of the prosthetic limb.
