  • Publication number: 20100205992
Abstract: A refrigeration system comprising a refrigerated cabinet having a front opening through which access is gained to the cabinet and the cabinet being subdivided into at least one compartment. Each compartment is adapted to be occupied by a drawer, each drawer being moveable within the compartment from a retracted position at which it is accommodated within the compartment and an extended position at which it partly extends forwardly from the compartment and whereby the interior of the drawer is accessible. The system further comprises cooling means provided remote from the cabinet. Each compartment has valved porting means provided in a rear wall thereof for connecting to the cooling means wherein when the drawer is in the retracted position, the cooling means is in fluid communication with the drawer and when the drawer is in an extended position the cooling means is isolated from the compartment.

  • Publication number: 20100027288
Abstract: Optical devices for guiding illumination are provided each having a body of optical material with staircase or acutely angled ramp structures on its top surface for distributing light inputted from one end of the device from the front exit faces of such structures along certain angular orientations, while at least a substantial portion of the light is totally internally reflected within the body until distributed from such front exit faces. Optical devices are also provided each have a body of optical material having a bottom surface with acutely angled ramp structures and falling structures which alternate with each other, such that light is totally internally reflected within the device until reflected by such ramp structures along the bottom surface to exit the top surface of the device or transmitted through the ramp structures to an adjacent falling structure back into the device.

  • Publication number: 20090182422
Abstract: A thin foldable intraocular implant specifically configured for installation into the anterior chamber of a phakic or pseudophakic eye has broad positioning flaps that do not apply any substantial pressure against the wall of the eye. It can be rolled for insertion through a corneal incision as small as 2.75 millimeters. The implant is constituted by a two-layered resiliently flexible membrane having a corrective layer of about 50 to 130 microns and an overall thickness of about 150 to 530 microns, that vaults the iris without contacting it. The optic is constituted by a multi-order diffractive (MOD) structure, and is made of silicone, PMMA, hydrogel or hydrophobic acrylate.

  • Publication number: 20090096268
Abstract: The present invention relates to a leveling valve including a first port, a second port, a third port, a valve, and a clutch. The clutch is provided with an engaged position and a disengaged position. At least a portion of the clutch may move relative to the valve when the clutch is in the disengaged position. The clutch moves the valve when the clutch is in the engaged position. The valve is movable between a first position, a second position, and a third position. When the valve is in the first position, the valve blocks a first pathway, which extends from the first port, from connecting with a second pathway, which extends from the second port. When the valve is in the second position, the valve allows the first pathway to connect with the second pathway. When the valve is in the third position, the valve allows the second pathway to connect with a third pathway, which extends from the third port.
