  • Publication number: 20140166118
Abstract: A tire pressure control system (100) for a self-inflating tire includes a left coupling conduit (128) in fluid communication with a left tube end (104) of a peristaltic pump tube (102), a right coupling conduit (129) in fluid communication with a right tube end (105), a bypass conduit (130) extending between and coupling the left coupling conduit (128) and the right coupling conduit (129), and a bypass valve (150) configured to block the bypass conduit (130) when the tire pressure is less than a predetermined target pressure. When the bypass valve (150) substantially blocks the bypass conduit (130), then pressurized air generated in the peristaltic pump tube (102) is forced into the self-inflating tire. When the bypass valve (150) does not block the bypass conduit (130), then air is allowed to circulate within the peristaltic pump tube (102).

  • Publication number: 20140136295
Abstract: Embodiments are directed towards providing dynamic recommendations of reserving information technology resources over time that may be visually displayed over that time. In one embodiment, the recommendations may be determined based on an analysis of actual usage data obtained over a prior time period and used to predict future resource demands. The subject innovations enable a user to dynamically perform various ‘what-if’ analysis to determine optimum purchase times, and configurations. In some embodiments, the user is further provided information about currently purchased resource under-utilizations to enable the user to redistribute work, release resources, or take other actions directed towards improving management of their IT budget.

  • Publication number: 20130320970
Abstract: Presented herein is a magnetic field sensor architecture that uses outputs of a peak detector and threshold detector operating in parallel to detect magnetic anomalies that may be associated with the target being sensed, e.g., a rotational ferromagnetic object such as a toothed gear, and use such detection to prevent sensor malfunction. The sensor includes an edge detection circuit and an error detection circuit. In one embodiment, the edge detection circuit includes circuits to detect edges (or transitions) of the threshold and peak detector output signals and the error detection circuit includes circuits, responsive to the edge detection circuit, to indicate an error when a “missed transition” occurs or a peak-to-peak value of an input signal as detected by the peak detector for a current cycle differs from an expected peak-to-peak value by a predetermined amount.

  • Patent number: 8566908
Abstract: A method allows access to a set of secure databases and database applications over an untrusted network without replicating the secure database. The method involves authenticating a user using a first authentication application. When the user is verified, then the user's credentials are directed to a second authentication application associated with a secure database based on a first set of user settings retrieved for the user. The second authentication application, based on a second set of user settings, grants the user access to the secure database and database applications associated with the secure database.
