  • Patent number: 9847985
Abstract: An assembly management system allows a software service provider (SSP) to compile and upload client-specific client application code into a repository. The SSP deploys a client application comprising non-client-specific code to various clients. When a user logs in, a call is made to a web service, which queries the repository for code specific to the requesting client. If available, the web service sends a response with the name and version of the assembly to which the client is subscribed. If the locally-saved version does not match the version of the assembly in the repository, and if the SSP has permission to write to the client's disk, the web service retrieves the assembly and commits it to the disk. If the SSP does not have permission, the assembly is streamed to the client device and retained and executed in memory for the duration of the login.

  • Publication number: 20170353868
Abstract: Apparatus and method pertaining to the calculation of at least one value that represents, at least in part, wireless reception signal strength from the perspective of both a local wireless receiver and a remote receiver that receives wireless transmissions from a local wireless transmitter. By one approach the apparatus directly determines the wireless reception signal strength from the perspective of the local wireless receiver and indirectly determines the wireless reception signal strength from the perspective of the remote receiver.

  • Publication number: 20170343040
Abstract: A roller for deflecting or guiding a metal strip to be coated in a metal melt bath may include bearing journals disposed coaxially with one another for rotationally supporting the roller. To obtain a high coating quality while hot-dip coating the metal strip, in particular steel strip, and to increase the service life of such a roller, each bearing journal may comprise a plurality of axially spaced annular elevations that have or are formed from a plain-bearing coating. The roller may comprise a steel roller shell, and each bearing journal may include a substantially cylindrical or circular-disk-shaped connecting steel portion that extends radially in the direction of the roller shell. At least one of the connecting portions may comprise a passage opening at an end face of the roller shell. The passage may be closed by means of a gas-permeable plug element comprised of ceramic material.

  • Publication number: 20170332286
Abstract: In some examples, a wireless device receives, from an access point (AP), information indicating that the wireless device is to cease transmission in a first channel. In response to the information, the wireless device communicates with the AP in a second channel that is a subset of the first channel, during a time interval in which the wireless device is to cease transmission in the first channel.

  • Patent number: 9820149
Abstract: Examples to discover network authentication information in a wireless network involve transmitting during network discovery and prior to authentication, a Generic Advertisement Services (GAS) request to a network access point. The request requests authentication information. In addition, a response to the request is received from the network access point. The network authentication information is retrieved from the response. The network authentication information includes a re-direct frame.

  • Patent number: 9820199
Abstract: A mobile device may transition between Extended Service Set (“ESS”) networks seamlessly, such that a consumer never loses the network connection despite the transition. The communication for enabling a transition may be prior to association with that network. The seamless transition may be enabled through the creation and utilization of a central key holder authority that advertises its identity to mobile devices in a pre-associated state. The mobile device can use the key discovery communication along with a key generation method to authenticate and/or associate with a network and transition from one ESS to another. There may be a common root key across ESSs. At each new access point (“AP”) that the mobile device encounters, ESS and key holder identities may be discovered through discovery communications.

  • Publication number: 20170318368
Abstract: The kit form of subject invention consists of 2 retractable spring actuated steel legs that come in various sizes and two heavy duty fasteners that adhere to rear of musical instrument amplifiers, speaker cabinet or other device. The legs, referred to as AmpLegs, require no drilling or screws for installation on most amps or cabinets, while others require the AmpLegs Mounting Blocks accessory. AmpLegs attach to rear of cabinet via dual lock fasteners to provide support while cabinet is tilted back. Tilt angle is adjusted by detaching the AmpLegs from the dual lock fasteners and then attaching them back to the fasteners at a slightly higher or lower point on the fasteners, effectively increasing or decreasing tilt angle.

  • Patent number: 9794967
Abstract: Network information may be discoverable without requiring a connection to that network. For example, Access Network Query Protocol (“ANQP”) may allow a device to discover information about a network prior to the device associating with that network. In other words, ANQP allows a network terminal to request additional network information prior to establishing network capability. The additional network information that may be discoverable includes network latency, cellular capabilities, hotspot capabilities, mobility capabilities, neighbor reports, station identification, and multiple hotspot session identification.

  • Patent number: 9786259
Abstract: Systems and methods selectively mix a first and second song together during a live performance. The first song has a plurality of first stems, each having stereo audio that combine to form the audio of the first song. The second song has a plurality of second stems, each having stereo audio that combine to form the audio of the second song. A computer, with memory and a processor, executes machine readable instructions of a multiple channel audio mixing application with stored within the memory. The multiple channel audio mixing application plays and mixes audio of at least one of the first stems with audio of at least one of the second stems. The multiple channel audio mixing application is controlled in real-time during the performance to select the at least one first stem and the at least one second stem for the mixing.
