  • Publication number: 20170163643
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a device, method, and system for enabling multiple wireless communication devices to communicate with a trusted network over a secure connection. The device includes a communication interface configured to communicate with the wireless communication devices and local area networks (LANs) and a processor configured to: broadcast a non-trusted service set identifier (SSID); in response to detecting a non-secure connection to a wireless communication device of the wireless communication devices using the non-trusted SSID, establish a connection to a local area network (LAN) of the LANs. In response to establishing a connection to the LAN: the processor establishes a secure connection to the trusted network; discontinues broadcast of the non-trusted SSID; and broadcasts a trusted SSID to the wireless communication devices to enable the wireless communication devices to wirelessly connect to the network device to communicate with the trusted network using the secure connection.

  • Patent number: 9670573
Abstract: A method for the hot-dip coating of metal strip, in particular steel strip, in a metallic melting bath (3) is disclosed. In the method, the metal strip (1) to be coated is heated in a continuous furnace (2) and is introduced into the melting bath (3) through a snout (6) which is connected to the continuous furnace and which is immersed into the melting bath. To be able to satisfy the requirements placed on the coated strip (1) with regard to good deformability of the strip, as far as possible without cracking and peeling, and with regard to high anti-corrosion protection in a more effective and reliable manner, the disclosure proposes that, in the region delimited by the snout (6), a melt is used which is intentionally implemented differently, in terms of its chemical composition, than the chemical composition of the melt used in the melting bath (3).

  • Patent number: 9654965
Abstract: A wireless device may be subject to regulations based on the location (e.g. country). Accordingly, the wireless device may need to identify regulations for its current location. A lookup table or database that includes regulations for different locations may be used for identifying the regulations for the current location of the wireless device. The lookup table may be stored locally on the wireless device or retrieved over a network. The identified regulations may be used to modify certain operating parameters of the wireless device to comply with the local regulations and determine whether or not to associate with an incorrectly configured Access Point.
