  • Publication number: 20230034486
Abstract: Example implementations relate to a host electronic device configured for establishing a thermal contact between a heat generating component of a removable electronic device, and a cooling component of the host electronic device, when the removable electronic device is detachably connected to the host electronic device. The host electronic device includes a support structure, the cooling component, a driver, and an actuator. The cooling component is movably connected to the support structure. The driver is also movably connected to the support structure. The actuator is movably connected to the support structure and the driver. The actuator, upon contact by the removable device, causes a movement of the cooling component via the driver for establishing the thermal contact between the cooling component and the heat generating component.

  • Publication number: 20230028346
Abstract: Methods of forming films of aligned carbon nanotubes on a substrate surface are provided. The films are deposited from carbon nanotubes that have been concentrated and confined at a two-dimensional liquid/liquid interface. The liquid/liquid interface is formed by a dispersion of organic material-coated carbon nanotubes that flows over the surface of an immiscible liquid within a flow channel. Within the interface, the carbon nanotubes self-organize via liquid crystal phenomena and globally align along the liquid flow direction. By translating the interface across the substrate, large-area, wafer-scale films of aligned carbon nanotubes can be deposited on the surface of the substrate in a continuous and scalable process.

  • Publication number: 20230002824
Abstract: Cell free nucleic acids from a test sample obtained from an individual are analyzed to identify possible fusion events. Cell free nucleic acids are sequenced and processed to generate fragments. Fragments are decomposed into kmers and the kmers are either analyzed de novo or compared to targeted nucleic acid sequences that are known to be associated with fusion gene pairs of interest. Thus, kmers that may have originated from a fusion event can be identified. These kmers are consolidated to generate gene ranges from various genes that match sequences in the fragment. A candidate fusion event can be called given the spanning of one or more gene ranges across the fragment.

  • Publication number: 20220405881
Abstract: Processing image data using deep neural networks is critical to many systems that desire to understand objects and their environment using camera sensors. Image scaling is a fundamental processing task required when managing image data. Although it is possible to scale image data using standard computer or graphics processors it would be highly advantageous in terms of throughput, latency and power consumption to manage image scaling using dedicated neural network hardware. The inventions contained herein provides methods to use existing neural network hardware to preform image scaling functions. Further, the inventions contained herein describe additional circuitry that can be added to neural network hardware to further enhance image scaling capabilities and efficiencies.
