  • Publication number: 20230188690
Abstract: A method for processing image data may include: obtaining a first image and a second image that capture a same scene in different views, from a first camera and a second camera, respectively; spatially aligning the first image with the second image; obtaining a color transformation matrix that maps the first image to the second image based on color values of the first image and the second image; obtaining an estimated illuminant color from an output of a neural network by inputting the color transformation matrix to the neural network, wherein the neural network is trained based on a pair of reference images of a same reference scene with a color rendition chart that are captured by different cameras having different spectral sensitivities; and performing a white balance correction on the first image based on the estimated illuminant color to output a corrected first image.

  • Patent number: 11657423
Abstract: A method, apparatus and computer program product are provided for providing rebate claim validation. A drug manufacturer or associated computer may receive rebate claims from pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs). The manufacturer should not be obligated to pay the rebate if the associated prescription drug was initially sold by the manufacturer under a discount program such as 340B. However, manufacturers may not be able to discern which rebate claims are associated with a discount program. A service provider utilizes adjudicated prescription claims from a contract pharmacy, and encounter data from a covered entity to validate the rebate claims and indicate to the manufacturer whether a rebate claim is associated with a discount program such as 340B.

  • Publication number: 20230153957
Abstract: A noise model is iteratively trained to simulate introduction of noise by a capture device, by use of a denoiser and a training data set of pairs of noisy signals. First and second noisy signals of each pair are independently sampled by the capture device from source information corresponding to the pair. Each iteration of training obtains first and second denoised signals from respective noisy signals, then optimizes at least one loss function which sums first and second terms to train both the noise model and the denoiser, where the first term is based on the first denoised signal and the second noisy signal, and the second term is based on the second denoised signal and the first noisy signal. By using noisy samples, the complexities of obtaining “clean” signals are avoided. By using “cross-sample” loss functions, convergence on undesired training results is avoided without complex regularization.

  • Publication number: 20230120926
Abstract: U-splines are a novel approach to the construction of a spline basis for representing smooth objects in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE). A spline is a piecewise-defined function that satisfies continuity constraints between adjacent cells in a mesh. U-splines differ from existing spline constructions, such as Non-Uniform Rational B-splines (NURBS), subdivision surfaces, T-splines, and hierarchical B-splines, in that they can accommodate local variation in cell size, polynomial degree, and smoothness simultaneously over more varied mesh configurations. Mixed cell types (e.g., triangle and tetrahedron and quadrilateral and hexahedral cells in the same mesh) and T-junctions are also supported. The U-spline construction is presented for curves, surfaces, and volumes with higher dimensional generalizations possible. A set of requirements are given to ensure that the U-spline basis is positive, forms a partition of unity, is complete, and is locally linearly independent.

  • Patent number: 11631814
Abstract: Methods of forming films of aligned carbon nanotubes on a substrate surface are provided. The films are deposited from carbon nanotubes that have been concentrated and confined at a two-dimensional liquid/liquid interface. The liquid/liquid interface is formed by a dispersion of organic material-coated carbon nanotubes that flows over the surface of an immiscible liquid within a flow channel. Within the interface, the carbon nanotubes self-organize via liquid crystal phenomena and globally align along the liquid flow direction. By translating the interface across the substrate, large-area, wafer-scale films of aligned carbon nanotubes can be deposited on the surface of the substrate in a continuous and scalable process.
