Abstract: A composite board having a sorghum stalk material component and a binder component is disclosed together with a corresponding method of manufacture. To prepare the composite board, the sorghum stalk material is harvested, dried and refined into fibers. The fibers are then combined with a binder such as a thermosetting resin. The resin coated fibers are then arranged into a stack having several layers. Within each layer, the resin coated fibers are aligned along a predetermined layer axis. Next, the stack is thermocompressed in a press at a preselected temperature to compress the resin coated fibers to a preselected board thickness.

To prepare the composite board, the sorghum stalk material is harvested, dried and refined into fibers, particles or slit-stalks. In some cases, the stalk material is first combined with a thermosetting binder such PMDI. Next, the stalk material is arranged into one or more layers and then combined with a thermoplastic binder, such as HDPE film, in a stack. In some instances, recycled HDPE may be used. The stack is thermocompressed in a press at a preselected temperature to compress the sorghum and thermoplastic binder to a preselected board thickness. The board is then cooled to below the softening temperature of the thermoplastic resin. After cooling, the board can be cut or trimmed to its final desired dimensions.

The upper and lower plates have interior surface facing the channel and exterior surfaces facing the upper and lower ports, respectively. RF absorbers are positioned along the exterior surfaces and are exposed along the upper and lower ports. The RF absorbers reduce an amount of EMI propagation through the cage member. A divider wall is positioned in the channel and extends between the interior surfaces of the upper and lower plates.

Abstract: Applying pulses to liquid being injected into wells makes the ground/liquid formation more homogenous, and more penetrative. A system for automatically creating the pulses is described, in which a piston is acted upon by the pressure differential (PDAF) between the supplied accumulator pressure and the formation pressure. The changing levels of the PDAF as the pulse-valve opens (and the PDAF falls) and as the pulse-valve closes (and the PDAF rises) are harnessed to actuate an inhibitor that restrain movement of the valve-piston, and delays opening and/or closing of the pulse-valve. The pulse-valve is engineered to open explosively, and thus create penetrative porosity-waves in the formation. The system includes a pressurized-gas accumulator, and injection-check-valve which can maintain pulsing even when the ground is not saturated, and the static injector, which allows non-pulsed injection only when the ground is non-saturated.

Abstract: A suture repair system and method for repairing a planned or unplanned opening in a human tissue plane. A handle having a deployable working end accommodates a re-loadable cartridge containing a suture and anchor in order to form an anchored limb at an edge of the tissue to be repaired. An end plate at a distal end of the suture cartridge slips into the tissue edge and deploys an anchor under the edge of the tissue that receives and prevents the suture from backing out. The handle can be shifted to an opposite edge of the tissue and sutured. A closure clip further joins the two anchored limbs of the suture via a one-way locking mechanism. An approximating tool pushes down the clip towards the defected tissue in order to achieve appropriate tissue approximation.

Abstract: A traffic management device (TMD), system, and processor-readable storage medium are directed to securely transferring session credentials from a client-side traffic management device (TMD) to a second server-side TMD that replaces a first server-side TMD. In one embodiment, a client-side TMD and the first server-side TMD have copies of secret data associated with an encrypted session between a client device and a server device, including a session key. For any of a variety of reasons, the first server-side TMD is replaced with the second server-side TMD, which may not have the secret data. In response to a request to create an encrypted connection associated with the encrypted session, the client-side TMD encrypts the secret data using the server device's public key and transmits the encrypted secret data to the second server-side TMD.
