Abstract: Embodiments herein describe optical devices that include focusing elements in or on a substrate on which a laser source is disposed. That is, the focusing element can be arranged on a same surface of the substrate as the laser source. In one embodiment, the laser source emits an optical signal that is parallel with the same surface of the substrate. A turning mirror can be used to direct the optical signal in a direction perpendicular to the surface so that the optical signal is incident on the focusing element.

  • Patent number: 12203997
Abstract: Sensors and methods for determining the state of charge of a battery are described. The state of charge is determined in some instances by applying a current perturbation having a frequency to the battery terminals, monitoring the response signal, and determining the phase of the response signal. The phase may be correlated to the state of charge of the battery, so that once the phase is determined, a determination of the state of charge of the battery may be made. In some situations, the state of charge may be used to determine the operating condition of a load connected to the battery. In some embodiments, the state of charge may be used to determine whether the battery is defective.

  • Publication number: 20230285568
Abstract: Phospholipid-conjugated Ags were used as an agnostic delivery platform to cell type, activation state, and inherent uptake capabilities for engineering APCs to control Ag-specific cellular immune responses. Lipid-mediated delivery (termed depoting) of MHC class I and II-restricted Ags successfully loaded resting polyclonal B cells, CD40? activated B cells, and DCs in a dose-dependent manner for priming Ag-specific CD8+ and CD4+ T cells, respectively. When lipid-conjugated Ags were paired with polymer-conjugated Ags and incorporated in nanoparticles (NPs), diverse APCs with varying NP internalization capabilities all processed the lipid-conjugated Ags via depoting while only DCs processed the PLGA-conjugated Ags via endocytosis. Multivariate analyses of cytokine secretions indicated that lipid-conjugated Ags could be distinctly classified from polymer-conjugated Ags.

  • Publication number: 20230201385
Abstract: The invention relates to a non-invasive imaging method of bacteria. One embodiment comprises labeling the bacteria with a radioisotope, then delivering it to the gut of a human or animal. Another embodiment is to label bacteriophages, then administer them to a human or animal, so that they infect (and thus co-localize with) bacteria already resident in the human or animal. The bacteriophage can then be imaged, showing the location of the resident bacteria of interest. In another embodiment, the invention is related more generally to the labelling of bacteria or bacteriophages with a radio-metal or radioisotope to render the labeled gut bacteria and the bacteria in the body visible to nuclear medicine PET and SPECT imaging guided by functional/structural MRI and/or CT imaging.

  • Patent number: 11106924
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a vehicle tracking method, a computer readable storage medium, and an electronic device. The method includes: determining a predicted value of state information of a target tracking vehicle based on a sequential Kalman filtering model according to a most recently acquired tracking value of the state information of the target tracking vehicle, wherein the state information at least includes location information; obtaining a detected value of the state information of the target tracking vehicle; and in response to the obtained detected value, acquiring a new tracking value of the state information of the target tracking vehicle based on the sequential Kalman filtering model according to the detected value and the most recently determined predicted value. Through the above technical solution, the tracking value of the state information of the target tracking vehicle may be determined more accurately.

  • Patent number: 11037301
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a target object detection method, a readable storage medium and an electronic device. The method is periodically executed and the method includes: identifying a target object based on first N frames of image data obtained within a current execution period, wherein N is a positive integer, and N is less than the total number of frames of image data that can be obtained within the current execution period; and if the target object is identified, tracking the target object based on the obtained image data within the remaining time period of the current execution period. In the above technical solution, when the target object is identified, the identified target object is tracked within the remaining time period of the current execution period, so that the data calculation amount can be effectively reduced.
