Abstract: Systems and methods for providing mobile device security are disclosed. In some implementations, a request for access to a security mechanism is received at a user terminal. A short-range radio connection of the user terminal at a time of receiving the request for access is identified responsive to the request. A memory of the user terminal is accessed to determine whether the identified short-range radio connection corresponds to a user-identified secure radio connection. Upon determining that the radio connection corresponds to the user-identified secure radio connection, the user is granted access to the security mechanism without soliciting the user of the user terminal for a predetermined security input. Upon determining that the radio connection does not correspond to the user-identified secure radio connection, the user is solicited for the predetermined security input.

Abstract: A drug calendar and reminder system is provided which allows for a user to be reminded when and how to take regularly scheduled drugs. The drug calendar and reminder system allows a user to input one or more drugs including their dosage instructions and schedule, and creates interactive reminders to facilitate the regular taking of these drugs. The drug calendar and reminder system can be further configured to receive content from content providers, such as drug interaction services, drug databases, doctors, and pharmacies such that a user can readily access information from these providers as needed. The drug calendar and reminder system can also be configured to compile the user's drug information, and can be configured to allow content providers access to this information.

Abstract: A device may receive information regarding a prescription for a patient from a device of a medical personnel member and generate prescription information using the information regarding the prescription. The device may transmit the prescription information to a device of a medication provider, and a user device of the patient. The device may transmit a notification indicating that the prescription information has been transmitted to the device of the medication provider and the user device. The notification may be transmitted to the device of the medical personnel member, the user device, and a device associated with an insurance company of the patient. The device may determine whether prescription fraud has been detected and may transmit another notification when the prescription fraud is detected. The other notification may indicate that the prescription fraud has been detected.

Abstract: An exemplary method includes receiving data representative of a content instance over a network from an access device associated with a first user, encrypting the content instance in response to a command initiated by the user by way of one or more graphical user interfaces, providing a key configured to facilitate decryption of the encrypted content instance, creating at least one access rule corresponding to the encrypted content instance, transmitting data representative of the encrypted content instance to a requesting access device associated with a requesting user, receiving, from the requesting access device, data representative of a request to access the key over the network, and performing a predefined action related to the key in response to the request and in accordance with the at least one access rule.

Abstract: A device may receive information that identifies a first attribute and a second attribute associated with media files, and the first and second attributes may specify a manner in which the media files are to be represented on a user interface. The device may present, on the user interface and based on the first attribute and the second attribute, a representation of the media files on a grid. A first dimension of the grid may be associated with the first attribute, and a second dimension on the grid may be associated with the second attribute. The device may receive a selection of a portion of the grid corresponding to a set of media files, and may create a playlist, based on receiving the selection, that includes the set of media files.

Abstract: An exemplary method includes at least one computing device maintaining data representative of a user profile associated with a first user of a first mobile device, detecting that the first mobile device and a second mobile device associated with a second user are located in a geographic vicinity, determining, in response to the detecting that the first mobile device and the second mobile are located in the geographic vicinity, that the second user matches at least one criterion defined within the user profile associated with the first user, and automatically storing, in response to the determining, contact information corresponding to the second user.

Abstract: A device may receive a request, from a user, to determine whether an item is a counterfeit item. The device may perform, based on receiving the request, a comparison of at least one of: one or more images of one or more first portions of the item to one or more images of corresponding one or more first portions of the authentic item that corresponds to the item, or one or more sounds of one or more second portions of the item to one or more sounds of corresponding one or more second portions of the authentic item. The device may determine whether the item is a counterfeit item based on performing the comparison. The device may provide, to the user and based on determining whether the item is a counterfeit item, information indicating whether the item is a counterfeit item.

Abstract: An exemplary method includes a mobile services access management system maintaining a mobile services access schedule associated with a mobile access device, the mobile services access schedule specifying one or more restricted access time periods during which access by the mobile access device to one or more mobile services requires entry of a predetermined access code, receiving a request to access at least one mobile service within the one or more mobile services during one of the one or more restricted access time periods, receiving entry of a predetermined access code in conjunction with the request, granting the mobile access device access to the at least one mobile service, and providing a notification of the access to a predetermined recipient. Corresponding methods and systems are also disclosed.

Abstract: A video image capture component includes a light source operable in a first spectrum, a first image detector operable in the first spectrum, a second light source operable in a second spectrum, and a second image detector operable in the second spectrum. A filtering component generates a combination image by filtering a first image obtained by the first image detector with a high-contrast filter, resulting in a high-contrast image, and masking a second image obtained by the second image detector using the high-contrast image. A compositing component creates a composite image from the combination image and a selected image. A display component displays the composite image. Alternative systems and methods for creating a combination image include techniques involving thermal imaging, laser detection, and narrow band frequency detection.

Abstract: In an exemplary method, a mobile device provides mobile device attribute data to a traffic monitoring subsystem, receives traffic condition data generated by the traffic monitoring subsystem based at least in part on the mobile device attribute data, presents, by way of a user interface, the traffic condition data for consideration by a user of the mobile device, and provides an interface tool configured to be used by the user to report a traffic condition to the traffic monitoring subsystem. In certain embodiments, the mobile device receives, by way of the interface tool, user input indicating a user observance of the traffic condition and provides, in response to the receiving of the user input, a notification of the user observance of the traffic condition to the traffic monitoring subsystem.
