  • Publication number: 20150074113
Abstract: A first database file stores scene list data includes caption data of captions and time data indicative of time to display the captions. A second database file stores keywords. The keywords indicate character strings of the caption data of a program currently being viewed. When an order to display the keywords is input, a keyword list generator reads a plurality of keywords from the second database file and generates a keyword list for display. When an optional keyword is selected, the scene list generator generates scene selection items.

  • Patent number: 8116608
Abstract: According to one of embodiments, a method and apparatus for reproducing video and audio changes a playback speed for video and a playback speed for audio independently of each other. To provide an apparatus and method for controlling the playback speeds shortly before a period in which the video and audio should better be played back at a normal-speed, thereby to reduce the strange feeling the user may have as the playback changes from the high-speed playback to the normal-speed playback, a video signal and an audio signal are first isolated from a content and then demodulated. A playback speed is set for the video signal modulated, and a playback speed is set for the audio signal modulated. The video signal and the audio signal, each set to a playback speed, are output.

  • Patent number: 7858219
Abstract: A locking mechanism of a battery pack A is provided with a hook 14 which can be locked to a mounting part B of an object equipment such as an electric tool in a state slid with respect to the mounting part, and operation parts 16 for releasing the lock which are linked to the hook 14, on a case which contains a battery. The hook 14 is urged to move upward by an elastic body in a direction of being locked to the mounting part B. The operation parts 16 are arranged in both side parts of the case within such a range that they can be grasped with a single hand from both sides of a backward end in the sliding direction of the case. When the operation parts 16 are operated from the both sides, the lock between the hook 14 and the mounting part B is released against the urge by the elastic body.

  • Publication number: 20090160864
Abstract: According to one embodiment, an image processor has a resolution detector, a first resolution changing unit, a second resolution changing unit, and a resolution changing controller. The resolution detector detects a resolution of an input image data. The first resolution changing unit changes the detected resolution into a resolution that is higher than the detected resolution. The second resolution changing unit changes the detected resolution coinciding with a predetermined input resolution into a predetermined output resolution that is higher than the detected resolution so as to provide the input image data with a definition higher than a definition of an output image data provided with the resolution changed by the first resolution changing unit.
