  • Patent number: 11582214
Abstract: Certain embodiments provide a method of updating a security. The method can include monitoring a bearer that includes first and second radio accesses according to different radio technologies between user equipment and a communications network. One or more properties of the monitored bearer can be determined. An update of a security key utilized for securing communications over at least one of the radio accesses can be triggered in response to determining that the determined properties meet at least one triggering condition capable of indicating a need for the update.

  • Patent number: 11546841
Abstract: A method, apparatus and computer program product are provided to facilitate interworking a plurality of cellular radio access networks and wireless local area networks (WLANs). In the context of a method, a set of information is maintained for a plurality of different cellular radio access networks that defines a relative priority of selection among the cellular radio access networks. The method also includes maintaining wireless access selection information defining a relative priority of selection among one or more WLANs relative to the cellular radio access networks. The method also permits the relative priority of the WLANs to be modified without modification of the set of information. For example, the relative priority the WLANs may be modified in a manner specific to the user equipment or specific to a cell. The method may also include causing notification to be provided to user equipment of the set of information and the wireless access selection information.

  • Patent number: 10425259
Abstract: Various communication systems may benefit from identification of devices or systems using a channel. For example, certain communication systems may benefit from non-orthogonal cover code for co-channel network isolation. A method can include deciding a cover code index. The method can also include signaling the cover code index to a user equipment. The cover code index can correspond to a non-orthogonal cover code that is created in a network-specific manner.

  • Patent number: 10225856
Abstract: Resources are allocated on a shared downlink control channel by an allocation table that is partitioned into a first, fixed length partition and into at least one second, variable length partition. The fixed length and the modulation and coding scheme MCS of the first partition is known a priori. The second variable length and the MCS of the second partition may be given in the first partition. Robustness may be varied between different second partitions of the same allocation table, or even within a single second partition to account for users at different proximity to the network node giving the allocations. Users may be identified in the first partition (e.g., a fixed number of users), and/or in the second partition (either additional allocated users or all users being allocated if the first partition does not identify users). Method, apparatus, computer program, integrated circuit and systems are detailed.
