  • Patent number: 7359474
Abstract: There is provided a clock-recovering filter circuit for use in a clock recovery circuit that generates a recovery clock signal from input data from an external device and a reference clock signal. The filter circuit includes: a pulse-inserting circuit which inserts pulses in a first phase-advancing signal or a first phase-delaying signal, thereby generating a second phase-advancing signal or a second phase-delaying signal; and a frequency-offset detecting circuit which detects frequency-offset data from the second phase-advancing signal and the second phase-delaying signal, the frequency-offset data representing a frequency difference between the recovery clock signal and the reference clock signal. The pulse-inserting circuit inserts pulses in accordance with the frequency-offset data when the first phase-advancing signal or the first phase-delaying signal is not input.

  • Publication number: 20070085776
Abstract: An electron emission type display apparatus has on a flat plane a matrix layout of multiple light-emitting elements which are connected to cross-points of longitudinal and lateral common electrodes, for sequentially turning on a line of light-emitting elements connected to a common electrode. In such the device, distortion takes place in drive waveform since a low-pass filter (LPF) is formed by a combination of the wiring resistance of the common electrode and the capacitance of a light-emitting element. To avoid such waveform distortion, the width of a light-emitting element driving voltage pulse is caused to be greater than the width of a scan voltage pulse.

  • Patent number: 7140732
Abstract: A projection type image display device superior in reliability and also superior in both repairability and maintainability is to be provided at a low cost. Support members disposed between liquid crystal panels and a prism are made of a thermoplastic polymer material, and the liquid crystal panels and the support members are fixed to each other by heat-fusion of the support members. When it is necessary to remove a liquid crystal panel which is at fault for example from the corresponding support member, the fused portion on the support member side which less expensive is cut off, thereby permitting the liquid crystal panel which is expensive to be taken out re-utilizably without any damage thereto.

  • Publication number: 20060126027
Abstract: There is a need for allowing an exhaust direction of a cooling air to be appropriately changed according to an installation environment of a projection type display device. There is another need to achieve a system for preventing an intake air and an exhaust air from being circulated therebetween by changing the direction of an intake port as well as an exhaust direction. A cooling system for an area around a lamp that accounts for a good part of an amount of heat generated by the projection type display device is isolated from a cooling system for other parts including a liquid crystal panel. Means is further provided of allowing the directions of intake and exhaust to be inverted in an entire device by changing the direction of rotation of an exhaust fan provided for the cooling system for the area around the lamp between forward and backward.

  • Patent number: 7040763
Abstract: A simple cooling construction capable of achieving two functions at a time is to be provided, one function being cooling a lamp as a lighting means and the other function being preventing the scatter of broken pieces of the lamp upon burst of the lamp. An image display device such as an LCD projector has been configured such that cooling air is introduced into the interior of a reflector to cool an lamp means. In this connection, the present invention adopts a net of an expanded metal structure which serves as both means for preventing the scatter of broken pieces of a lamp upon burst of the lamp and an air deflecting plate facing a portion to be cooled. The above two functions can be attained simultaneously by such a simple construction.

  • Patent number: 7029132
Abstract: Adjustment of the illumination range to a liquid crystal panel of a liquid crystal projector requires time in fixing upon adjustment and accordingly it is an object to make the adjustment effectively. In an adjustment mechanism of the illumination range of illumination means to the liquid crystal panel in an optical engine unit of the liquid projector, the spring property is provided in a lens holder for holding a lens and the lens is temporarily held by friction of the spring portion to the optical engine case after adjustment. Then, the adhesion processing is made to complete the adjustment.
