    Abstract: A key cap structure for disposing on a housing and corresponding to a circuit module is disclosed. The circuit module includes a circuit board and two contact portions disposed on the circuit board. The key cap structure comprises a top wall, a pair of side portions and a secure portion. The top wall has two press zones and a connect zone connects between the press zones. The press zones correspond to the contact portions respectively. The side portions connect to the press zones of the top wall respectively and extend downwardly and space apart from each other. The discontinuous structure between the side portions and the secure portion permits larger range of deformation formed in the top wall when the press zone is pressed downwardly. And the user only needs to apply less force to press on the top wall.

A plurality of planar, low lumen, small footprint lighting modules are configured overhead the space in different placement densities including high placement densities, wherein a different amount of lumens are delivered into the space from different overhead placement positions depending on the placement densities of the lighting modules at their placement positions. The number and placement density of the lighting modules needed over each lighting requirement area is determined so as to produce a desired number of lumens for such lighting requirement area.

    Abstract: An OLED light source has a reduced area metal cathode such as a fine mesh cathode and a highly conductive electron conduction layer adjacent the cathode that allows for rapid lateral conduction of electrical current beneath the cathode to cause exciton formation over substantially the entire light emitting area of the OLED. By substantially reducing the coverage area of the cathode, cathode-exciton energy transfer (cathode quenching) produced by the presence of a metal cathode can be substantially reduced, and total light output from the OLED increased.

    Abstract: A package base structure for packaging a light-emitting element and a related manufacturing process are provided. The package base structure includes a semiconductor substrate having a top surface, a receiving space in the top surface and defined by slant surfaces, and a micro diffractive optical element on one of the slant surfaces. To produce the package base structure, a first etching mask with a first etching window is formed on the top surface. The etching window has a sidewall oriented at a bias angle with respect to a specific equivalent crystallographic orientation of the semiconductor substrate. Then, a selective anisotropic etching procedure is performed through the first etching window to form the slant surfaces on the semiconductor substrate. Afterwards, the micro diffractive optical element is formed on the slant surface for collimating or focusing a light beam emitted from the light-emitting element.

    Abstract: A CMP process is provided. A first polishing process on a wafer is performed using a first hard polishing pad with a first slurry. Then, a buffering process on the wafer is performed using a soft polishing pad with a cleaning agent to buffer the pH value in the first polishing process and to remove at least portion of the first slurry and the cleaning agent by the contact with the first soft polishing pad simultaneously. Thereafter, a second polishing process on the wafer is performed using a second hard polishing pad with a second slurry such that the pH value after the buffering process is between the pH value in the first polishing process and the pH value in the second polishing process. The method can avoid the scratch issue of wafer surface by particles resulting from pH shock and cross contamination.
