    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to an retroreflective structural colour film and a preparation method thereof. The main steps are as follows: (1) assembling colloidal microspheres to form a monolayer of microspheres; and (2) transferring the monolayer of microspheres onto a transparent substrate which has an adhesive layer to make the monolayer of microspheres partially embedded in the adhesive layer to prepare the retroreflective structural colour film. The retroreflective material has the advantages of the simple preparation process, high reflective brightness and uniformity of reflection colour. Moreover, the retroreflective material can exhibit unique retroreflective structural colour under the illumination of a white light source.

The transmitter is located at a first position in the venue and configured for transmitting a wireless signal through a wireless multipath channel impacted by a pseudo-periodic motion of an object in the venue. The receiver is located at a second position in the venue and configured for: receiving the wireless signal through the wireless multipath channel impacted by the pseudo-periodic motion of the object in the venue, and obtaining at least one time series of channel information (TSCI) of the wireless multipath channel based on the wireless signal.

In one example, a system for monitoring a transient motion in a venue is disclosed. The system comprises a transmitter, a receiver, and a transient motion monitor. The transmitter is located at a first position in the venue for transmitting a wireless signal through a wireless multipath channel impacted by the transient motion of an object in the venue. The receiver is located at a second position in the venue for: receiving the wireless signal through the wireless multipath channel, and obtaining a time series of channel information (CI) of the wireless multipath channel based on the wireless signal. The transient motion monitor is configured for: monitoring the transient motion based on the time series of CI, and triggering a response action based on the monitored transient motion.

    Abstract: Methods and apparatus are provided for paging enhancement for the UE in the LC-MTC mode. In one novel aspect, the UE determines if the UE is in CE mode, obtains a set of narrow-band resource blocks reserved for LC-MTC paging messages and decodes a paging message based on the obtained narrow-band resource blocks. In one embodiment, the paging message occupies a predefined narrow band resource blocks without control information. In another embodiment, MPDCCH is used as control message to schedule narrow-band paging messages. In one embodiment, the MPDCCH searching space comprises a paging narrow-band selected from the set of narrow bands based on a UE ID. In another novel aspect, methods for PO detection are provided. The UE obtains a set of common paging narrow-bands from a higher layer configuration, determines a paging occasion to monitor paging message, decodes paging messages within the obtained common paging narrow-band, and performs combination.

    Abstract: A system whereby a mobile robot can detect a floor-drop includes a chassis and at least one infrared (IR) sensor. The chassis includes a mounting portion and a translucent lens mounted on the mounting portion. The mounting portion and the translucent lens are inclined downwards, at an angle to a horizontal plane. The IR sensor is mounted in the chassis adjacent to the translucent lens. The IR sensor transmits a signal to a lower surface in front of the chassis through the transparent lens. The IR sensor can detect a distant floor-drop such that the mobile robot can have enough time to stop a front wheel going over the floor-drop.

In one example, a disclosed system comprises a first transmitter, a second transmitter, at least one first receiver, at least one second receiver, and an event recognition engine, in the venue. The first transmitter transmits a training wireless signal through a wireless multipath channel impacted by a known event in the venue in a training time period associated with the known event. Each first receiver receives asynchronously the training wireless signal, and obtains, asynchronously based on the training wireless signal, at least one time series of training channel information of the wireless multipath channel between the first receiver and the first transmitter. The second transmitter transmits a current wireless signal through the wireless multipath channel impacted by a current event in a current time period associated with the current event.

The method and system receive a voice command from a user to open an application on a device having a computer. The voice command is compared to a stored command language in an audio file device. The application is identified based on the voice command. The system and method determines a preferred language for the software application based on a language file stored on the computer readable medium and the language file being associated with the stored audio file. The method and system opens the application in response to the voice command, and sets the preferred language for a user interface (UI) of the device in response to the determined preferred language.
