    Abstract: A broad-spectrum Al(1-x-y)InyGaxN light emitting diode (LED), including: a substrate, a buffer layer, an N-type cladding layer, at least one quantum dot emitting layer, and a P-type cladding layer. The buffer layer is disposed over the substrate. The N-type cladding layer is disposed over the buffer layer to supply electrons. The quantum dot emitting layer is disposed over the N-type cladding layer and includes plural quantum dots. The dimensions and indium content of the quantum dots are manipulated to result in uneven distribution of character distribution of the quantum dots so as to increase the FWHM of the emission wavelength of the quantum dot emitting layer. The P-type cladding layer is disposed over the quantum dot emitting layer to supply holes. A broad-spectrum Al(1-x-y)InyGaxN yellow LED may thus be made from the LED structure of this invention, with an emission wavelength at maximum luminous intensity falling within a range of 530˜600 nm, and FWHM within a range of 20˜150 nm.

    Abstract: A bottom base for a soft water-spouting toy includes an upper combining base and a lower fixing base threadably combined with each other. The fixing base is fixed stably on a handle or a child's bicycle, and the combining base is combined tightly with the lower portion of a soft water-spouting toy. The combining base has a center hole for a ball to sink therein, invertible with the toy for pouring water therethrough and into the interior of the toy after disengaged from the fixing base. After water is filled full in the toy, then the combining base with the toy is inverted again, threadably combined with the lower fixing base, letting the toy on the bicycle playable by a child riding on. The water in the toy and the bottom base cannot leak out by sealing means in the combining base and the fixing base.

    Abstract: A liquid pump includes a container body, a vacuuming device, and a liquid-discharging device. The container body has an upper portion, a lower portion, a vent hole formed in the upper portion, a cap mounted removably on the upper portion for closing the vent hole, a liquid inlet formed in the upper portion, a guide tube connected to the liquid inlet, a liquid outlet formed in the lower portion, and a plug mounted removably on the lower portion for closing the liquid outlet. The vacuuming device is mounted on the container body and is operable so as to reduce air pressure within the container body. The liquid-discharging device includes a connecting rod connected to the plug and movable between a closing position and an opening position. The liquid-discharging device further includes a biasing unit connected to the connecting rod for biasing the connecting rod to the closing position.
