  • Patent number: 8135113
Abstract: An image capture system for recording X-ray images in real time is disclosed. The image capture system includes an image pickup device, a sensing module and a surgical navigation device. The sensing module is used to detect the on/off status of the image pickup device. While the image pickup device is turned on to capture an X-ray image, the sensing module transmits a notification signal to the surgical navigation device. After receiving the notification signal, the surgical navigation device records the X-ray image captured by the image pickup device and the relative position between the image pickup device and the patient in real time. Thus, the real-time recording of the relative position between the image pickup device and the patient will prevent inaccurate image reading that occurs when the patient's position and image pickup device shift after the X-ray image has been captured.

  • Patent number: 8048132
Abstract: A spine fixation device is provided. The spine fixation device includes a bone screw, a fixation carrier, and a first locking member. The fixation carrier is rotatably coupled to a fixation unit of the bone screw. The first locking member conjugates the fixation carrier and the bone screw together. A screw unit of the bone screw is implanted into a vertebra. As the fixation carrier is rotatably coupled to the bone screw, the bone screw remains fastened to the vertebra while the fixation carrier is rotated. Through rotational adjustment of the fixation carrier, U-shaped openings of the fixation carrier are adjustable in direction. Thus, the disposition angle of a rod disposed in the U-shaped openings is easily adjustable by rotating the fixation carrier. As a result, the rod can fit an angle of the spine while surgical complexity is reduced.

  • Publication number: 20110100610
Abstract: A heat dissipating device includes a base, a heat pipe disposed on the base, and a plurality of first and second heat dissipating fins. Each first heat dissipating fin includes a fin body having a first through hole for extension of the heat pipe therethrough. The first and second heat dissipating fins are mounted on the heat pipe in a stack and in a spaced-apart alternating arrangement. Each second heat dissipating fin includes a fin body having a second through hole for extension of the heat pipe therethrough, two adjacent lateral edges, and a cut edge interconnecting the lateral edges such that each second heat dissipating fin has a smaller area than each first heat dissipating fin. • Publication number: 20110087233
Abstract: A method for guiding symmetric implantation of bone screws is provided. The method includes the steps of: providing a spinal image of a spine, wherein the spine has a first bone screw implanted in one side of a spinous process of the spine; obtaining a first implanting information of the first bone screw; setting a reference line in the spinal image; generating a second implanting information by mirroring the first implanting information with respect to the reference line; and guiding a second bone screw to be implanted in the other side of the spinous process according to the second implanting information. The method generates a second implanting information that is based on and symmetric to the first implanting information, thus allowing the bone screws to be precisely implanted in both sides of the spinous process and aligned with each other in the same transverse section of the spinous process.
