    Abstract: A plug connector includes a mating tongue defining top and bottom surfaces thereon. Each surface is provided with a plurality of conductors in one row wherein the characters/categories of the conductors on the top surface are sequentially arranged to be same with those on the bottom surface with a pair of power conductors in two notches at two lateral side edges. The corresponding receptacle connector mounted upon a printed circuit board, defines a receiving cavity to receive the mating tongue therein. Opposite top and bottom rows of contacts are respectively located by upper and bottom sides of the receiving cavity and categorized essentially in a same sequence with the conductors of the plug connector for respectively connecting to the corresponding conductive pads, respectively. A pair of power contacts are located by two lateral sides of the receiving cavity to couple to the corresponding power conductor portions in the notches.

    Abstract: A burn-in socket for an IC package includes a base loaded with several terminals, a sliding plate, an actuator and a pair of locking elements. The sliding plate is assembled on the base and defines an upper surface. The actuator is mounted on the base and defines a receiving opening facing the upper surface. The locking elements is assembled on the actuator under a condition that the locking elements rotate inwards to press against the IC package and outwards to release the IC package when the actuator is push downwards in a vertical direction. Each locking element includes a rotating element and a pressing element. The rotating elements rotate in relative to the actuator and the pressing element rotates in relative to the rotating element. The pressing element defines a sliding slot and the rotating element defines a sliding post slidably receiving in the sliding slot.

The shell provides a plurality of spaced spring fingers extending into the inserting slot and establishes a receiving path between the contacting projections and the pivot beams. The actuator is mounted on the electrical connector for movement between an open position lifting up the spring fingers of the shielding shell and allowing insertion of the flat circuit into the inserting slot and a closed position allowing the pivot beam restore and pressing against the flat circuit toward the contacting projections.

The base has a multiplicity of walls respectively between every two adjacent passageways along a length thereof, and four raised portions (102) extending upwardly around the base. A multiplicity of protrusions (106) is respectively extended upwardly from the walls. When a force is exerted down the LGA chip to make the LGA chip engage with the terminals, the protrusions and the four raised portions can support the force for separate the force without making the LGA chip deforming downwardly. This ensures that engagement between the connector and the LGA chip is accurate and reliable.
