Abstract: A reinforced thermoplastic product may include a main body and a fabric reinforcing sheet that is disposed within a wall of the main body. The wall of the main body may be formed of or from a cast thermoplastic material and the fabric reinforcing sheet may extend circumferentially around the main body in order to reinforce the wall. The fabric reinforcing sheet may include a plurality of fiber bundles and a thermoplastic material that impregnates each fiber bundle.

Abstract: Methods of making a fiber-reinforced thermoplastic polyurethane composite are described. The methods may include applying a sizing composition to a plurality of fibers to make sized fibers, where the sizing composition may include at least one curative for a thermoplastic polyurethane prepolymer. The sized fibers may be contacted with a thermoplastic polyurethane prepolymer composition to form a resin-fiber amalgam, where the thermoplastic polyurethane prepolymer composition includes 50 wt. % or less of a total amount of the curative that is also present on the sized fibers. The resin-fiber amalgam may then be cured to form the fiber-reinforced thermoplastic polyurethane composite.

The present invention can occupy small space such to decrease the diameter of the inlet pipe efficiently.

The discharge cold switching valve has a discharge cold channel and a water outlet channel. When the operating member is in the initial position, the discharge cold switching member is in the first position, the joint between the water outlet channel and the water inlet end are sealed, the discharge cold channel opens; when the operating member switches to the shower position, the discharge cold switching member is moved by the operating member to the second position, the joint between the discharge cold channel and the water inlet end are sealed, and the water outlet channel opens, engaging the operating member with the water outlet switching member. The operating member drives the water outlet switching member to open one or both of the first and second water outlet passages.

Abstract: A curable formaldehyde-free binding composition for use with fiberglass is provided. Such curable composition comprises an aldehyde or ketone and an amine salt of an inorganic acid. The composition when applied to fiberglass is cured to form a water-insoluble binder which exhibits good adhesion to glass. In a preferred embodiment the composition when applied to fiberglass provides a sufficient blackness required in facer products.

The liquid medium may be removed from the coated substrate to form the prepreg. The prepregs may be used to make fiber-reinforced articles.

Abstract: According to one embodiment, a system for manufacturing a polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) prepreg includes a mechanism for continuously moving a fabric or mat and a resin application component that applies a methyl methacrylate (MMA) resin to the fabric or mat. The system also includes a press mechanism that presses the fabric or mat during the continuous movement subsequent to the application of the MMA resin to ensure that the MMA resin fully saturates the fabric or mat. The system further includes a curing oven through which the fabric or mat is continuously moved. The curing oven is maintained at a temperature of between 40° C. and 100° C. to polymerize the MMA resin and thereby form PMMA so that upon exiting the curing oven, the fabric or mat is fully impregnated with PMMA.
