  • Patent number: 4678921
Abstract: In a photo-electric smoke detector device, a first photo-detector receives the light emitted from a light emitter and scattered by smoke, and a second photo-detector directly receives the light emitted from the light emitter. The second photo-detector has an element surface on which trimmed electrodes are arranged. The electrodes of the second detector act to limit the amount of light emitted from the light emitter and transmitted to the elements of the second detector.

  • Patent number: 4677486
Abstract: A video signal processing circuitry having a comb filter to extract a vertical contour component of an input video signal by feeding back a signal, which is obtained by subtracting a nondelay signal from a one-line delay signal relative to the iput video signal, with a feedback coefficient K to an input signal of a one-line delay circuit or to both of such input signal and the nondelay signal anterior to the subtraction. The output signal of the comb filter is added with an addition coefficient A to the input video signal introduced to the comb filter or to the input signal of the one-line delay circuit, whereby an output video signal is produced while any noise component is effectively suppressed without deteriorating the distinction of the vertical contour portion. The addition coefficient A is so set as to have, with respect to the feedback coefficient K, a linear functional relationship of A=1/2+K/2, A=1/2-K/2 or A=K+1/2.

  • Patent number: 4649282
Abstract: In a smoke sensing apparatus, a light receiving circuit including a light receiving element senses light emitted from a light emitting circuit including a light emitting element and scattered by smoke, and a voltage holding circuit converts the output signal of the light receiving circuit into a d.c. voltage and holds the d.c. voltage. A mean value circuit averages the voltage signal from the voltage holding circuit, and a switching circuit acts to bring the output of the mean value circuit to a level close to that of the output of the voltage holding circuit. A comparison circuit compares the output of the means value circuit with the output of the voltage holding circuit thereby generating a control signal.

  • Patent number: 4635086
Abstract: A semiconductor switching device includes first to fourth layers, a first gate portion, a second gate portion and a common gate terminal interconnecting the first and second gate portions. The first gate portion is the current control type and has a rectifying PN junction, and the second gate portion is the voltage control type. When a first polarity vias voltage is applied to the common gate terminal, the device turns on through the second gate portion, while turns off through the first gate portion when a second polarity vias voltage is applied to the terminal.

  • Patent number: 4627362
Abstract: An air assisted sliding device has a pallet supported on a base. The pallet has a recess provided on the periphery of its bottom surface in which a flexible tubular sealing member is mounted. The sealing member has a memory normally contracting it so as to be flat. An air passage communicates with the interior of the flexible sealing member so that compressed air can be fed to it. A groove is evenly provided on the bottom surface of the pallet within the bounds of the recess and a separate air passage for feeding compressed air or vacuum air is communicated with the groove so that the pallet may be provided with an air film of compressed air or may be stopped and a vacuum applied to attract the pallet to the base at a predetermined position on the base. A timing belt drive or an electromagnetic motor is used.

  • Patent number: 4596509
Abstract: A fixed ceiling is provided from which depends a carrier block which is movable forward, rearward, rightward and leftward. An exhaust port is provided on the upper surface of the carrier block and a seal member is provided on the surface of the carrier block about its periphery so that a vacuum can be created on the upper surface of the carrier block and the carrier block may be freely sucked to the fixed ceiling. Vertically movable fitting parts for a plurality of tools are provided below the carrier block.

  • Patent number: 4382269
Abstract: The magnetic head of the present invention has plural core members in abutting relation to form a magnetic circuit in which one of the core members is notched deeper than the other to suppress the saturation and leakage of magnetic flux, and in which one of the core members is notched deeper than the lateral end of the coil facing the magnetic tape and even with the approximate center of the coil to reduce the distortion.

  • Patent number: 4184467
Abstract: A contactless ignition system for an internal combustion engine in which a moderately rising timing signal and a steeply rising auxiliary signal are generated so that an auxiliary thyristor is triggered by the auxiliary signal to be conductive to render a main thyrister which is connected in series with the auxiliary thyristor to be conductive by the timing signal and in which a resistor for holding the auxiliary thyristor in the conductive state is connected in parallel with the main thyristor so that the ignition timing in the high speed range may be controlled by the auxiliary signal to prevent the excessive spark timing advance in the high speed range and also in the low speed range the auxiliary thyristor may be maintained in the conductive state until the main thyristor is made conductive to thereby prevent misfiring.
