  • Patent number: 8692901
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method, apparatus and program for processing an image, capable of producing a sharp image. A digital camera 1 includes an imaging device 4 formed of a single-plane sensor that provides one color signal for each pixel. A plurality of images are captured at a high shutter speed by the imaging device 4 and stored in a frame memory 22 of a signal processor 7. • Publication number: 20130051771
Abstract: The present technology relates to an image processing device and method, and program, whereby a high-quality loop moving image can be obtained more easily. Upon continuous shot images of multiple frames serving as material of a loop moving image being input, the continuous shot images are divided into multiple segments including motion segments including a moving subject and a still segment including a subject with no motion. An image of the motion segment region of the continuous shot images is formed into a loop moving image, and a segment loop moving image is generated. Also, an image of a still segment region of the continuous shot images is clipped out, and a segment image which is a still image is generated. Further, these segment loop moving image and segment image are integrated, to form one loop moving image. The present invention can be applied to an image processing device.

  • Patent number: 8340469
Abstract: An information processing apparatus includes a band-shaped area selecting section, an angle selecting section, and a control section. The band-shaped area selecting section selects, from among band-shaped areas each having a first angle with respect to a second direction orthogonal to a first direction, a first band-shaped area having a maximum height, which satisfies a condition that the first band-shaped area is on one side of a first point group, which is in the first direction and on one side of a second point group, which is in a direction opposite to the first direction. The angle selecting section selects a candidate for the first angle. The control section effects control to repeat selecting of the first band-shaped area and selecting of the candidate for the first angle, and obtains the finally selected first band-shaped area as a processing result.

  • Patent number: 8269869
Abstract: In an imaging apparatus, a function whose value increases in time is used as a threshold electric-signal level, and an electric-signal level of a photoreceptor element is compared with the threshold electric-signal level. Even if a light received by the photoreceptor element has a low luminance, the electric-signal level of the photoreceptor element crosses the threshold electric-signal level in a short time, allowing calculation of the amount of optical energy received by the photoreceptor element. Furthermore, when an object having a region where brightness changes in time and also having a region with a low luminance is imaged, imaging interval is changed in accordance with luminance. Accordingly, information regarding how the brightness of the object is rapidly changing in time can be obtained more precisely, and an image can be output without making a projection image of the dark region completely black.

  • Publication number: 20120224766
Abstract: An image processing apparatus includes a superimposition processing unit which performs a blend process on a plurality of images which are continuously photographed. The superimposition processing unit includes a moving subject detection unit, a blend processing unit, and a noise reduction processing unit. The moving subject detection unit detects the moving subject region of an image, and generates moving subject information in units of an image region. The blend processing unit generates a superimposition image by performing a blend process on the plurality of images using a high blend ratio in a stationary subject region and using a low blend ratio in the moving subject region based on the moving subject information. The noise reduction processing unit performs a stronger pixel value smoothing process on the moving subject region of the superimposition image based on the moving subject information.

  • Patent number: 8169537
Abstract: The present invention relates to a control method of a photographing apparatus, the photographing apparatus and a control program, which are capable of automatically determining a photographing mode capable of generating a sharper image. If a first exposure time is equal to or shorter than a first threshold value, a control circuit 18 makes a decision to take an input image in a first mode. The first exposure time is an exposure time required for taking one input image on the assumption that a photographing operation is carried out in the first mode for generating one output image by taking one input image. If the first exposure time is neither equal to nor shorter than the first threshold value, on the other hand, the control circuit 18 makes a decision to take a plurality of input images in a second mode provided that a second exposure time is equal to or shorter than a second threshold value.
