  • Patent number: 6154635
Abstract: An antenna coil (21) for generating a magnetic field (25) to supply power to a transponder (26) is energized through switching devices (23 and 24) connected between Vcc and GND of a D.C. power supply (20) and having contacts S1 and S2 that are actuated in opposite phases in accordance with a carrier signal. Both of the switching devices (23 and 24) are turned OFF while the carrier signal is absent. Accordingly, the oscillating current flowing through a series resonance circuit of the antenna coil (21) and a capacitor (22) quickly attenuates, thereby dropping the intensity of the magnetic field (25).

  • Patent number: 5506084
Abstract: An electrostatic latent image developer containing a carrier, a toner, and an electric field adjusting agent. The electric field adjusting agent is formed as particles having an average particle size smaller than that of the carrier, and contains a magnetic powder in a specific amount less than that of a magnetic powder contained in the carrier and greater than that of a magnetic powder contained in the toner. The magnetic powder may be deposited on the surface of each particle of the electric field adjusting agent to form a conductive layer capable of smoothly taking or imparting charges away from or to the toner. Accordingly, an electric field formed in a gap between a developing sleeve and a photosensitive member can be intensified to thereby prevent an edge effect and enhance a permittivity in this gap. Accordingly, the electrostatic latent image formed on the photosensitive member can be faithfully developed.

  • Patent number: 5328791
Abstract: Disclosed is a dry type developer including colored particles which are flown to a recording medium, thereby an image being recorded on the recording medium, wherein, a ratio of both an average particle size of the particles calculated based on volume of the particle and an average particle size of the particles calculated based on number of the particle, lies in a range of from 1.00 to 1.35. Thereby, the distribution of the particle size in the toner can be made sharp with mono-dispersion, thus uniform charge quantity can be obtained without being affected by changing in the charge quantity changed according to the toner particle size, because the toner particle size can be made uniform. Therefore, the image with stable and uniform concentration can be recorded on the recording medium all the time. As a result, the image with fine line can be clearly recorded on the recording medium with high resolution.

  • Patent number: 5223371
Abstract: A thermal developing type photosensitive pressure sensitive recording medium records an image and transfers the image onto an image receiving medium. The image recording medium includes a substrate, microcapsules and binder. The microcapsules are formed on the substrate, and encapsulate therein dye and polymerizable compound. A latent image is formed in a combination of the microcapsules by changing mechanical strength thereof upon photopolymerization of the polymerizable compound for forming cured and non-cured microcapsules. The dye flows out of the non-cured microcapsules and is transferred onto an image receiving layer by rupturing the non-cured microcapsules upon pressure application. The binder fixes the microcapsules onto the substrate. The binder contains a pressure sensitive adhesive agent.

  • Patent number: 5202722
Abstract: An image forming apparatus makes use of a color developing principle in which there is an absorption or reaction between a color developer and a dye, pigment or dye precursor. A photosensitive member whose surface is rendered electrically conductive by application of light, and a photosensitive/pressure sensitive recording medium are exposed to image information containing light simultaneously so that the color developer is selectively deposited only onto portions of the photosensitive/pressure sensitive recording medium which is to develop color. Microcapsules containing the dyes, pigments or dye precursors located on the photosensitive/pressure sensitive recording medium are selectively broken according to the image information containing light, and the selectively deposited color developer transferred onto the photosensitive/pressure sensitive recording medium are transferred and fixed on any arbitrary medium to be recorded, thereby obtaining a desired image on the arbitrary medium.
