  • Publication number: 20030086531
Abstract: An x-ray imaging system (10) for generating multiple energy x-ray images is provided. The system (10) includes an exposure switch (32) having an “ON”state. A console (14) is electrically coupled to the exposure switch (32) and contains two or more selected imaging program sets. An x-ray generator (18) generates x-rays. An image detector (28) detects the x-rays and generates two or more electronic signals. An image generation controller (20) is electrically coupled to the image detector (28) and controls the sequencing of the two or more electronic signals. An x-ray controller (12) is electrically coupled to the console (14) and the x-ray generator (18). The x-ray controller signals the image generation controller (20) to generate the two or more electronic signals sequentially when the exposure switch (30) is in the ON state and in response to the two or more selected imaging program sets. A method for performing the same is also provided.

  • Publication number: 20020122534
Abstract: A technique for selectively processing data from a digital detector includes determining an asymmetrical image area produced by orientation of a radiation source assembly. The assembly may include a radiation source and a collimator, which may be separately orientable. The image area is computed based upon the orientation of the radiation source assembly that projects a radiation beam towards an imaging plane. Image data from a detector within the imaging plane is selectively processed to improve computational efficiency. The system may also determine whether the image area falls within the imaging surface of the detector and inform an operator or inhibit an exposure if such is not the case.

  • Patent number: 6077513
Abstract: The method of extracting volatile oils from Commiphora molmol includes the steps of grinding up the Commiphora molmol plant; covering the ground up plant with a layer of water to create a mixture of plant and water; passing steam through the mixture of water and plant; condensing volatile oil from the steam in a condensing chamber; and, separating the layer of oil from the aqueous layer therebeneath. The oil fractions can also be obtained by extracting myrrh powder using petroleum ether; and, evaporating the petroleum ether to obtain the oil fraction. The method of extracting resins from commiphora molmol after volatile oils have been separated therefrom including the steps of treating the myrrh powder with alcohol; evaporating the alcohol extract; precipitating the resin collected; washing the resin; and, drying the resin. Alternatively, the myrrh powder can be treated with myrrh powder with petroleum ether; extracting the ether with methanol; and, evaporating the methanol to obtain a resin fraction.

  • Patent number: 4949243
Abstract: A computer system primarily intended to execute programs, the execution of which can be described in the form of so-called search trees, such as so-called OR Parallel execution, comprising a number of computers or processors and memories. According to the invention, each of the processors (PEO-PE7) can be connected to memory modules (MMO-MM15) via a network (12). The network is capable to connect each processor simultaneously to the write input of a group of memory modules divided for the respective processor, so that the processor in question simultaneously shall be able to write information into the connected group of memory modules, and is capable to connect said processor to the read output of only one memory module in said group.
