  • Publication number: 20210227193
Abstract: An automated structural feature and analysis system is disclosed. A 3D device emits a volume scanning 3D beam that scans a structure to generate 3D data that is associated with a distance between the 3D device and each end point of the 3D beam positioned on the structure. An imaging device captures an image of the structure to generate image data with the structure as depicted by the image of the structure. A controller fuses the 3D data of the structure generated by the 3D device with the image data of the structure generated by the imaging device to determine the distance between the 3D device and each end point of the 3D beam positioned on the structure and to determine a distance between each point on the image. The controller generates a sketch image of the structure that is displayed to the user.

  • Publication number: 20210221708
Abstract: A technique to desalinate seawater using melanin-concentrated solar energy wherein the melanin is extracted from a local isolate Aspergillus niger. A device consists of two fixed upper and lower containers with same volume of seawater in both, with or without melanin powder dissolved in the lower container at rate of 0.17 gm of melanin powder per 10 ml of water. The device is put outdoors under direct sunlight during daytime, circular water droplets free of salt starts to appear on the external bottom of upper container. Water droplets are collected by a sterile glass rod, pH of droplets water is about 7.1. Yield of fresh water is approximately 10 ml droplets water from 600 ml seawater per hour; after 24 hours day and night incubation, seawater in the upper container dries out leaving salt crystals. Yield of 1000 m3 seawater is 100 m3 freshwater (1000 L seawater yield 100 L freshwater).

  • Publication number: 20210212333
Abstract: A method used for concentration of fluid milk by renewable energy (RE). RE used in the present invention is sole solar energy (SE) at room temperature (25° C.-27° C.). A device of two glass Petri dishes of same size is arranged as upper and lower plates. A volume of 60 ml of pasteurized bovine or camel milk is put in the upper plate and 60 ml of tap water in the lower plate. The device is placed on the bench beside window to be exposed to sunlight, but not to direct sunrays, at room temperature. After about 30 mins water droplets started to appear on the lower face of the upper plate and increased in size with time. With continuous collection of water droplets for 24 hours, 50% of water is removed i.e. giving 50% concentration of milk; after 48 hours the concentration is 16.67%.

  • Publication number: 20200333283
Abstract: The low-symmetry mesoporous titanium dioxide (lsm-TiO2) for use in an electrode for direct sensing of hydroxide ions may be prepared by evaporation-induced self-assembly followed by two stages of annealing. An electrode made of a conductive substrate coated with the lsm-TiO2 detects electrochemical oxidation of hydroxide ion solution by an oxidation peak for hydroxide ions at a lower potential than other metal electrodes. The oxidation process is irreversible under diffusion-control, the peak current linearly increases with hydroxide concentration within the concentration range from 1.0 to 50 mM, the detection limit may be 0.05 mM and the current sensitivity may be 0.181 mA/mM. The peak current is linearly dependent on alkaline solution pH and the dissociation constant of the hydroxide ion precursor. The electrode can be used in hydroxide sensing performed in nitrate, fluoride, chloride or sulfate supporting electrolyte, which makes the electrode a superior sensor for voltammetric hydroxide determination.

  • Patent number: 10812975
Abstract: Methods and systems of user authentication for roaming access to a wireless communications network, using blockchain, is described. A wireless access point (WAP) can provide roaming connectivity to a Wi-Fi network for a mobile device, for example at a public hotspot. The disclosed WAP is blockchain-enabled, allowing connectivity to a blockchain network. Accordingly, when a WAP receives a connection request to the Wi-Fi network, the WAP can execute a smart contract in the blockchain to determine whether a user of the mobile device is authenticated for roaming access to the Wi-Fi network. In some cases, the smart contract verifies that service providers of the mobile device and the Wi-Fi network have a roaming agreement. Also, the smart contact can verify that the user is authenticated by the service provider of the mobile device. In some cases, the WAP device functions in accordance with a Hotspot 2.0 (HS2) networking standard.
