  • Publication number: 20240049199
Abstract: A method of wireless communication at a user equipment (UE) and related apparatus are provided. In the method, the UE receives a resource allocation for a first set of resources in a first frequency band that is disjoint from a second frequency band in a sub-band full duplex (SBFD) slot, and communicates with a network node using the first set of resources in the first frequency band and a corresponding second set of resources in the second frequency band. The method improves the resource allocation efficiency for scheduling resources over multiple disjoint sub-bands.

  • Publication number: 20240048342
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A base station may transmit control signaling scheduling a downlink transmission to a user equipment (UE) across multiple bandwidth parts (BWPs) and an indication of a code block group (CBG)-based mapping for the downlink transmission. A transport block (TB) of the downlink transmission may include multiple code block groups (CBGs) that are mapped across the BWPs. The UE may monitor for the TB across the BWPs based on the CBG mapping. For example, the UE may determine the CBGs are mapped across different BWPs based on the cross-BWP CBG mapping. Additionally or alternatively, the UE may determine each CBG is mapped within one BWP based on the cross-BWP CBG BWPs mapping. The UE may calculate a TB size based on available time and frequency resources and may decode the TB based on calculating the TB size and the cross-BWP CBG mapping.

  • Publication number: 20240048299
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive a message indicating a frequency hopping configuration for repetitions of an uplink message that are to be transmitted via a set of resources, including one or more resources that support full-duplex communications. The UE may determine that some resources of the set of resources are available for transmitting the repetitions in a time domain. The UE may use a frequency hopping pattern to transmit the uplink message and the repetitions of the uplink message, where the frequency hopping pattern may include two or more frequency hops and based on the available resources and the frequency hopping configuration. In some cases, the UE may determine that some resources of the set of resources are unavailable in a frequency domain, and as such, the UE may drop respective transmissions of the uplink messages on the unavailable resources.

  • Publication number: 20240049200
Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure provide techniques for wireless communication using sub-band full duplex (SBFD). A network entity can inform a user equipment (UE) on the allocation of communication resources for SBFD operations using sub-bands. The network entity can indicate sub-band allocation in symbols/slots configured for SBFD operations using various techniques. A UE can receive a SBFD configuration of one or more time slots, each time slot including a plurality of symbols. The SBFD configuration indicates that one or more of the plurality of symbols are capable of an SBFD operation using a first sub-band for downlink (DL) communication and a second sub-band for uplink (UL) communication. The UE can communicate with the network entity in the one or more symbols configured for the SBFD operation using at least one of the first sub-band for DL communication or the second sub-band for UL communication.

  • Publication number: 20240031116
Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for sub-band conversion or cancellation for dynamic scheduling of sub-band full duplex (SBFD) operations between the base station and UEs. The capability to communicate via simultaneous UL and DL transmissions through dynamic scheduling allows for increased uplink duty cycle leading to latency reduction (e.g., it is possible to receive DL signal in an UL only slots, which can enable latency savings) and improved uplink coverage. Additionally enabling flexible and dynamic UL and DL resource adaptation in accordance with techniques of the present disclosure also provide enhanced system capacity, resource utilization, and spectrum efficiency.

  • Publication number: 20240032001
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Some wireless communications may support frequency hopping in full-duplex communications. For example, a user equipment (UE) may receive an indication of one or more resource block (RB) sets over which the UE is to perform one or more uplink transmissions during a slot, where each RB set of the one or more RB sets is associated with a set of one or more frequency hopping parameters. The UE may select, for a first RB set of the one or more RB sets, a frequency hopping enablement status or a frequency hopping pattern based on a full-duplex classification of the slot and the set of one or more frequency hopping parameters for the first RB set. Additionally, the UE may perform the one or more uplink transmissions in accordance with the selected frequency hopping enablement status or the selected frequency hopping pattern.
