  • Patent number: 10920554
Abstract: A cylindrical drum with a fluid inlet is configured to be connected to a downhole end of a fluid conduit. The cylindrical drum has an outer surface along which is the fluid inlet. The cylindrical drum has a center and an inner surface. Fluid nozzles fluidically connect to an interior of the cylindrical drum and are positioned around the outer circumference of the cylindrical drum. The fluid nozzles are positioned to direct fluid away from the cylindrical drum. A rotatable collar is positioned in the center of the cylindrical drum. The rotatable collar has an outer surface parallel to the inner surface of the cylindrical drum. Sleeve plates are positioned between the inner surface of the cylindrical drum and the outer surface of the rotatable collar. Each of the sleeve plates defines a hole with a diameter smaller than a diameter of a corresponding dropped ball.

  • Patent number: 10914674
Abstract: A monitoring and control system includes a stationary body with a sensor, a moving body with a sensor, and at least one computing device. The stationary body is positioned along a path of movement. The moving body moves along the path and physically interacts with the stationary body. The at least one computing device receives signals from the sensor on the stationary body and from the sensor on the moving body. The at least one computing device determines a performance value of the stationary or moving body based on the physical interaction between the moving and stationary bodies. The performance value is dependent on both of the signals received from the sensor associated with the stationary body and received from the sensor associated with the moving body as the moving body interacts with the stationary body.

  • Publication number: 20210013857
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for on-chip harmonic filtering for radio frequency (RF) communications. A filtering and matching circuit for an integrated circuit includes a first capacitance coupled in parallel with a first inductance, a second inductance coupled to the first inductance, and a variable second capacitance coupled between the first and second inductance. The variable second capacitance is controlled to provide filtering with respect to the RF signal as well as impedance matching with respect to a load coupled to the connection pad. For one embodiment, the variable second capacitance includes a coarse-tune variable capacitor circuit and a fine-tune variable capacitor circuit. The coarse-tuning controls impedance matching, and the fine tuning controls a notch for the filtering. The load can be an antenna for the RF communications. The integrated circuit can include a receive path, a transmit path, or both.

  • Publication number: 20200394291
Abstract: A biometric handheld vaporizer has a housing, a mouthpiece, an oil reservoir, an atomizer, a battery, a battery charging port, a fingerprint sensor, and a microcontroller. The handheld vaporizer remains inoperable until a user submits a photo ID for age verification. One method of using a biometric handheld vaporizer involves inputting fingerprints into the vaporizer, the fingerprints stored on the microcontroller; and, when a user desires to use the vaporizer, placing the authorized fingerprint on the fingerprint sensor, which, upon authorization, closes a circuit to activate an atomizer within the vaporizer.

  • Patent number: 10861038
Abstract: A promotion price adjustment system of the present application utilizes improved data definitions, caching, and a combination of online and offline processing to increase the efficiency and speed of applying promotional discounts in electronic retail systems. The system performs an offline batch process on a product catalog to generate a predetermined mapping between products in the catalog and candidate promotions. When checkout of a product in a virtual shopping cart is initiated, the product's candidate promotions are obtained from the predetermined mapping. Each of those candidate promotions is then evaluated against the properties of the virtual shopping cart to determine which of those candidate promotions are eligible for application. Any eligible promotions may serve as a basis for applying price discounts to the virtual shopping cart.

  • Patent number: 10859540
Abstract: A septum containing a duckbill valve assembly includes a plurality of elastomeric ribs extending from the body of the septum to the duckbill valve assembly. When inserted into an injection port cavity, force generated by an interference fit between the body of the septum and the cavity is transmitted by the ribs to the duckbill valve assembly. The ribs are configured to reversibly collapse at a hinge point when a needle is inserted through the duckbill valve assembly and are spaced to assist in centering the needle in the duckbill valve assembly. The ribs reduce wear on the duckbill valve assembly by reducing the concentration of compressive forces at higher inlet pressures while maintaining sufficient compressive force to close the duckbill valve assembly at lower inlet pressures.

  • Patent number: 10834379
Abstract: A wide spread adoption of 3D videos and technologies is hindered by the lack of high-quality 3D content. One promising solution to address this problem is to use automated 2D-to-3D conversion. However, current conversion methods, while general, produce low-quality results with artefacts that are not acceptable to many viewers. Creating a database of 3D stereoscopic videos with accurate depth is, however, very difficult. Computer generated content can be used to generate high-quality 3D video reference database for 2D-to-3D conversion. The method transfers depth information from frames in the 3D reference database to the target frame while respecting object boundaries. It computes depth maps from the depth gradients, and outputs a stereoscopic video.

  • Publication number: 20200348419
Abstract: A microservice node can receive a request for information identifying a corrected physical location of a client device. The request can include raw satellite data associated with the client device. The microservice node can convert the raw satellite data to a Radio Technical Commission for Maritime Services (RTCM) format. The microservice node can determine, based on converting the raw satellite data to the RTCM format, an estimated physical location of the client device. The microservice node can receive, based on transmitting a request to a network real-time kinematics (RTK) device, corrections data associated with the estimated physical location of the client device. The microservice node can determine, using a cloud RTK engine, the corrected physical location of the client device based on the estimated physical location and corrections data. The microservice node can transmit, to the client device, the information identifying the corrected physical location of the client device.
