  • Publication number: 20120046010
Abstract: A system and method of mobile communication roaming where a subscriber's home network and a roaming network used by the subscriber do not have a roaming agreement. The roaming network sends a “Send Authentication/Parameters” request to the home network via an intelligent roaming system on or attached to the backbone. The home network sends an authentication response to the “Send Authentication/Parameters” request from the home network to the roaming network via the backbone and intelligent roaming system. The roaming network sends a “Update Location” request from the roaming network to the intelligent roaming system. The visitor locator register (VLR) address in the “Update Location” request is replaced with the VLR address of the intelligent roaming system to create a modified update request. The modified update request is sent from the intelligent roaming system to the home network.

  • Patent number: 8032598
Abstract: A system of ranking e-mail threads is disclosed. The system receives e-mail messages, and determines e-mail threads in response to the e-mail messages. The system determines an e-mail rank associated with each e-mail message in the e-mail threads, where an e-mail rank associated with an e-mail message is determined in response to a sender identifier related to the e-mail message. The system also determines a thread rank for each e-mail thread, where a thread rank associated with an e-mail thread is determined in response to e-mail ranks of each e-mail message associated with each respective e-mail thread. The system then determines an ordering of the e-mail threads based on the thread rank associated with each e-mail thread.

  • Patent number: 7962607
Abstract: A system and a method are disclosed for establishing a baseline and the corresponding bands of data for alarming, etc. Historical raw data are aggregated and grouped. For example, the data may be and hourly grouped as 168 groups of data in a weekly frame. Clusters of the groups of data are then formed based on dynamic data window by analyzing statistical similarity among the 168 groups of data. Data in each cluster of groups, originated from the raw data at specific hour(s) of day on specific day(s) of week, are used as historical data to predict a baseline and the envelopes at these associated hour(s) and day(s). Generating a baseline includes determining a mapping function, which transforms data in a cluster to become normal or nearly normal. A mean and standard deviation of the transformed data are calculated. Envelopes are determined using the mean and the standard deviation. An inverse transformation function is uniquely derived.

  • Patent number: 7899871
Abstract: A method for processing e-mails includes receiving a plurality of e-mails. For each e-mail in the plurality of e-mails, a feature representation is generated for an e-mail based on a set of noun phrases associated with the e-mail. A set of topics associated with the plurality of e-mails is generated based on the feature representation for each e-mail. Sentence structure associated with the e-mail and parts of speech associated with the e-mail may be determined. The parts of speech, including a set of noun phrases associated with the e-mail, may be used to generate the feature representation for the e-mail.

  • Patent number: 7853685
Abstract: Critical servers are identified in a network, based upon network flow records collected from the network for a predetermined period. A plurality of rules are applied to application-server pairs based upon the collected network flow records to identify, among the application-server pairs, candidate application-server pairs that satisfy at least one of the plurality of rules during the predetermined period in excess of a predetermined number of times, in which case the application-server pair is identified as a candidate application-server pair. A global application-server list including application-server pairs identified across all of the sources is determined. A critical server list including servers corresponding to the global application-server list is generated. Various network mappings comprised of the servers in the critical server list are created, and network measures corresponding to the mappings are displayed.

  • Publication number: 20100037136
Abstract: A graphical editor displays graphical representations of underlying data items in a distribution of information-bearing states across a bounded region of a display. One or more of the data items are selected as belonging to a context of a user task or operation. The information-bearing states are redistributed in the bounded region of the display so that an amount of information sufficient to the task is provided through the graphical representations of the data items in the context and any space in the bounded region of the display needed to display such information is acquired by a decrease in the amount of information provided by the data items outside the context.

  • Publication number: 20100030798
Abstract: The invention provides for techniques to process and produce email documents. The techniques provide for organizing a first plurality of email documents into a plurality of document groups, reviewing a document group from the plurality of document groups, and associating a review content with the document group. The techniques provide for ways to propagate the review content to one or more email documents associated with the document group and producing a second plurality of email documents. The techniques provide for annotating one or more email documents in accordance with the review content. Depending on the embodiment, review content may include text, graphics, audio, tag, and multimedia information. Produced documents can be searched and browsed in accordance with information in the review content. Email documents can be grouped by information in meta information and/or header information associated with the email documents into various groups, including threads or conversations, for example.

  • Patent number: 7657603
Abstract: A system for processing e-mail messages receives, from an e-mail repository, a transactional e-mail message comprising message attribute data. The system places the transactional e-mail message in an e-mail thread in response to the message attribute data of the transaction e-mail message. The system determines whether one or more derived e-mail messages are included in the transactional e-mail message. If one or more derived e-mail messages are included, the system determines derived message attribute data of the one or more derived e-mail messages. The system then places the derived e-mail message in the e-mail thread in response to the derived message attribute data of the derived e-mail message.
