Abstract: A non-volatile random access memory (NVRAM) is used in a computer system to perform multiple roles in the platform storage hierarchy. The NVRAM is byte-rewritable and byte-erasable by the processor. The NVRAM is coupled to the processor to be directly accessed by the processor without going through an I/O subsystem. The NVRAM stores a Basic Input and Output System (BIOS). During a Pre-Extensible Firmware Interface (PEI) phase of the boot process, the cache within the processor can be used in a write-back mode for execution of the BIOS.

By subscribing to the system, a non-alliance operator can gain roaming access to alliance networks having existing bilateral roaming relationships. An authentication message is received from a roaming network in which a subscriber is roaming and the message is authenticated if there is a roaming relationship. The authentication message is forwarded to the home network via an alliance network and responsive to the indication that the authentication message was received at a roaming network, roaming transactions are enabled for the subscriber within the roaming network.

The NVRAM stores a memory interface table containing information for the NVRAM controller to autonomously initialize the NVRAM upon power-on of the computer system without interacting with the processor and firmware outside of the NVRAM. The information is provided by the NVRAM controller to the processor to allow the processor to access the NVRAM.

In one embodiment, firmware is used to access one or more hardware-specific error registers within the computer system in response to a system management interrupt (SMI) trap. Using the firmware, an error record in a common error record format is constructed. The error record is made available to an operating system (OS) within the computer system.

Abstract: The present application is directed towards systems and methods for providing user interfaces for management applications via a definition-based graphical user interface (GUI) framework for developing web based management applications for servers, intermediaries, routers, wide area network (WAN) accelerators, caches, switches, or any other type and form of computing device. The plug-in free framework reduces the server's resource consumption and bandwidth by making a full use of resources available on the client computing device or browser. A complete web application can be developed using JavaScript Object Notation (JSON) definitions along with a representational state transfer (REST) based application programming interface (API) efficiently using the framework, which may comprise light-weight pure JavaScript or similar executable code. In many embodiments, the framework may be layered in a model-view-controller (MVC) architecture easing resource consumption, maintenance and extensibility.

Abstract: A method for a vehicle having plural electric motors includes generating motor electrical signatures for the motors. The motor electrical signatures represent one or more characteristics of electrical energy that is supplied to the motors. The method also includes identifying one or more fault measures of each of the motor electrical signatures. The fault measures are indicative of mechanical characteristics of the motors. The method further includes comparing the one or more fault measures of each motor with the one or more fault measures of the other motors in the same vehicle and predicting an impending mechanical failure of one or more of the motors based on comparing the fault measures of the motors.

Abstract: A method and system are disclosed for optimizing load scheduling for a power plant having one or more power generator units. An exemplary method and corresponding system can involve detecting an event indicative of a need for adapting one or more constraints for an objective function used in load scheduling. On such detection, the objective function is analysed to determine adaptive constraint values for the one or more constraints for optimally solving the objective function. These adaptive constraint values can be used to solve the objective function and the solution of the objective function with the one or more adapted constraint values can be used to operate the one or more power generation units of the power plant.

Produced documents can be searched and browsed in accordance with information in the review content. Email documents can be grouped by information in meta information and/or header information associated with the email documents into various groups, including threads or conversations, for example.
