Abstract: A time-based breakpoint facility is provided for debugging a program upon expiration of a timer. More particularly, encountering a break exception during an execution of a program results in determining if the break exception is raised by a trigger or by a breakpoint. If the break exception is raised by the trigger, steps include breaking the program execution, starting a timer and resuming the program execution without passing control to a user interface thread until the started timer expires. If the break exception is raised by the breakpoint, steps include breaking the program execution, passing control to the user interface thread, performing a debugging operation, and resuming the program execution upon indication of the user interface thread.

The electrode film includes electrode active material, electronically conductive particles, and a solid polymer electrolyte. In some embodiments, no additional binder is used as the solid polymer electrolyte also acts as a binder to hold together the active material and electronically conductive particles, thus creating a freestanding electrode film. Such a freestanding film makes it possible to deposit a very thin current collector layer, thus increasing specific energy and specific power for electrochemical cells in which these electrode assemblies are used.

Abstract: A system that selects items from a plurality of items is described herein. The system includes a receiver component that receives a plurality items for an activity in a sequence having an order. A selection component sequentially evaluates each of the items in the sequence in the order received by the receiver component and for each item being evaluated determines that an evaluated item is to be uniquely selected out of the plurality of items immediately upon evaluation thereof. The selection component selects the item such that when the value of the item is higher than the values of all previous items in the sequence, any position in the sequence has a substantially similar probability as any other position to have the item selected.

Abstract: A system and method of delivering video content over a network in communication with a subscriber having an associated electronic device is disclosed. A plurality of staggered streams of video content is delivered over a network. A segment of the video content is pushed onto the electronic device. A request for the video content is received at the electronic device, the pushed segment of video content is retrieved from the electronic device and the pushed segment of video content is displayed to the subscriber. A staggered stream of video content delivered over network is located and recorded on the electronic device.

To allow handover between the systems, voice calls using the VoIP protocol are tunnelled to a bridging point (74) between the internet (3) and cellular network (7). However, to avoid the need for data to be routed by way of the cellular network and then back into the internet, the tunnelled connection between the hub and the mobile access bridge (74) is replaced with two separate tunnels (14, 47) respectively connecting the user (1) and MAB (74) with an intermediate breakout point, such as is a VoIP network controller (4). From this breakout point a third connection (46) is made to the internet, for carrying non-voice data traffic by way of a network access control proxy (5).

Abstract: A core-shell particle is formed by a method that includes forming a crosslinked polyorganosiloxane core, reacting a graftlinking agent with the crosslinked polyorganosiloxane core, and polymerizing a poly(alkenyl aromatic) shell around the graftlinking agent-functionalized polyorganosiloxane core. The method produces a core-shell particle with improved adhesion between shell and core. The core-shell particle is useful as an impact modifier in thermoplastic compositions.

The method further includes receiving the digital media file, and modifying at least one predetermined portion of the digital media file if the indicated maturity rating of the at least one predetermined portion is greater than the selected first maturity level to produce a first modified digital media file.

Abstract: A system and method for delivering video content over a network comprises providing a network server and a database, receiving a request for video content at the network server, querying the database to determine subscribers likely interested in the video content, and delivering the video content to network devices associated with subscribers likely interested in the video content. The database stores data associated with the viewing habits of network subscribers. The querying step results in the identification of a subset of subscribers likely interested in the video content.

Abstract: A method for providing multiple uses of printer coversheets comprises providing a printer having a dedicated coversheet tray, a document sheet tray, and a scanning device, and receiving a print command from a user with an associated username. The method includes drawing a coversheet from the dedicated coversheet tray to be positioned adjacent the printed file, the coversheet having a plurality of predetermined username positions and a corresponding plurality of predetermined barcode positions. The method further includes performing a barcode scan of the coversheet, determining at which username position to print the username based on the results of the barcode scan, and printing the username at the next-available username position. The method also includes printing a barcode on the coversheet at the one of the barcode positions which corresponds to the username position at which the username is printed.

Abstract: In one embodiment of the present invention, a system and method may be provided for validating communications permissions for an in progress communication. The system and method may include receiving location information, at a service provider, from a wireless communications device. The location information may be communicated to a database that is able to determine communications permissions based upon some predetermined criteria, such as time, date, and location. Based upon the received location information and a related database record, permissions for the wireless communications device may be determined. The determined permissions may be communicated to the service provider. The wireless communications device may be notified about restrictions on its communications, in response to receiving the permissions. The permissions determination may be repeated, as necessary, in response to receiving updated location information.
