  • Publication number: 20100166049
Abstract: In an I-Q receiver, I-Q baseband mixer receives a real signal, and outputs an in-phase baseband information signal and a quadrature baseband information signal, a decoupling compensator multiplies in-phase baseband information signal and the quadrature baseband information signal by a trained decoupling matrix that, based on adaptive training in response to purely in-phase and purely quadrature phase training signals, decouples the in-phase baseband information signal from a quadrature component of the I-Q signal, and decouples quadrature-phase baseband information signal from an in-phase component of the I-Q signal. Optionally, a trained I-arm-Q-arm imbalance compensator performs a filter compensation on one or both of the decoupled in-phase baseband signal and the quadrature-phase baseband signal output by the trained decoupling matrix.

  • Publication number: 20100145674
Abstract: Statements of a computer program expressed using a first source natural language are made meaningful to a programmer familiar with a second target natural language. The first source natural language of the computer program is determined from the programmer, or through analysis, and the second target natural language desired by the programmer is selected. Textual constructs may be parsed, with reference to stored coding conventions to determine meaningful lexical tokens. Such tokens are translated with a translation engine, and displayed to the programmer, desirably using a graphical user interface feature of an integrated development, environment (IDE) for computer programming in a particular programming language.

  • Patent number: 7724059
Abstract: Techniques for scaling and switching clocks in a glitch-free manner are provided. For example, in one aspect of the present invention, a technique for switching a frequency associated with a master clock includes the following steps/operations. Two phase clocks are generated from a master clock, wherein the two phase clocks do not transition at substantially the same time. Then, one of the two phase clocks is used to create multiple frequencies by dividing the one phase clock, and the other phase clock is used to switch between the multiple frequencies of the one phase clock. Further, one of the two phase clocks may be in phase with the master clock and the other of the two phase clocks may be 180 degrees out of phase with the master clock such that they do not transition at the same time. Also, the two phase clocks may be non-overlapping.

  • Patent number: 7707294
Abstract: A system maintains a dormant state in the host, in which no beacons (or “bubbles”) are transmitted from the host when no application or service (collectively, “processes”) of the host is accepting unsolicited traffic via the edge traversal service. When at least one application or service begins to accept unsolicited traffic via the edge traversal service, the host enters a qualified state and begins transmitting the beacons. As each additional application or service begins to accept such traffic, the number of accepting applications and services is maintained. As applications and services terminate acceptance of such traffic, the number of accepting applications and services is decremented. When the last application or service terminates acceptance of unsolicited traffic via the edge traversal service, the host re-enters the dormant state and ceases transmission of its beacons.

  • Patent number: 7694315
Abstract: A programming model that takes general purpose APIs and machine-generates new programming models based on user defined schemas that provide the developer with data and view separation, and a way to communicate to the host application using the domain of the problem being solved. The system comprises a schema component that the developer uses to define a schema that includes one or more domain terms related to the problem to be solved, and a mapping component that uses the schema to search and map selected constructs from one or more generic host application APIs to the corresponding problem domain terms. Once the mapping is completed, a generating component generates a new API that is used by a host application to facilitate developing an application document using terms related to the domain of the problem to be solved.
