  • Patent number: 8007145
Abstract: A worklight with head mounted on a stand that uses a hands-free mounting system that enables the lamp head to be tilted in different fixed angles without manually loosening and tightening knobs and nuts. The mounting system includes at least one nut body mounted or attached on the surface of the lamp head. The nut body includes a central post with a threaded bore surrounded by a plurality of radially aligned beveled ribs. The ribs are aligned parallel to the nut's longitudinally axis and are equally spaced apart thereby forming a plurality of slots surrounding the post. The post is slightly shorter than the surrounding ribs. The slots on one side of the nut body are aligned with slots located on the opposite side of the nut body. The stand includes at least one support arm with a straight portion. The outside surface of the straight portion has a diameter sufficient so that the inside surface of the straight portion rests in the two slots located on opposite sides of the nut body.

  • Patent number: 7517104
Abstract: A low energy, bright bench worklight that uses two threaded mogul based fluorescent bulbs at each end. The worklight includes an elongated main housing with a downward extending opening formed therein. Located inside the housing and behind each bulb is a concave reflector. Located on each end of the main housing is a light assembly that includes a longitudinally aligned socket and a PCB. Located centrally and extending transversely over the housing is a switch bracket to which a manual switch is attached to selectively control activation of the bulbs. A removable cage attached at the opening of the main housing to protect the bulbs.

  • Patent number: 7463148
Abstract: A light fixture wireless motion detector conversion kit that includes an electrical box cover plate that houses a wireless receiver unit capable of receiving a signal from a wireless motion detector. Formed on the front surface of the plate is a center cavity upon which a standard light fixture bracket is attached. During assembly, the cover plate is securely attached to a vertical support surface while the base of a light fixture is attached to the bracket. The wireless receiver unit is electrically connected between an external 120 volt AC electrical circuit and the light fixture's wires. In the preferred embodiment, the wireless receiver unit includes an optional frequency switch, a mode switch, that allows the user to select different frequencies that matches the frequency used by the motion detector.

  • Patent number: 7001044
Abstract: A portable worklight designed to illuminate a 360 degree area. The worklight includes a triangular-shaped base with three side members. Mounted on each side member is a rotating and pivoting light head that includes two diagonally aligned light cavities. Mounted inside each light cavity is a horizontally aligned halogen bulb with a concave reflective shield mounted behind the bulb. Mounted over the front face of each light cavity is a glass plate and a chevron-shaped frame. Attached to the rear surface on each worklight includes a handle. Each light head is mounted on a rotating U-shaped bracket that allows the head to rotate upward and downward approximately 45 degrees. The bracket is also able to rotate 360 degrees over the side member. Each light head also includes a separately operated ON-OFF switch that controls the operation of the halogen bulbs contained therein.

  • Patent number: 6781129
Abstract: A dual eye motion detector assembly comprising a main infrared sensor head and a secondary infrared sensor head mounted on a mounting box. The main motion sensor head is pivotally mounted to the mounting box and contains a standard infrared motion sensor with an approximate 90 to 180 degree viewing zone. The secondary motion sensor head is also pivotally and independently mounted to the mounting box and contains its own standard infrared motion sensor with an approximately 90 to 180 degree viewing zone. The two motion sensors in the main and secondary motion sensors heads are connected to a circuit panel located the main sensor head. Control switches are mounted on the sides of the main infrared sensor head to control sensitivity and timing. Outside electrical current is delivered to the circuit panel and divided into local circuits to control the operation of at least one lamp so that when an infrared-emitting object passes into the viewing zone of either sensor head, the lamp is automatically activated.
