  • Patent number: 7001044
Abstract: A portable worklight designed to illuminate a 360 degree area. The worklight includes a triangular-shaped base with three side members. Mounted on each side member is a rotating and pivoting light head that includes two diagonally aligned light cavities. Mounted inside each light cavity is a horizontally aligned halogen bulb with a concave reflective shield mounted behind the bulb. Mounted over the front face of each light cavity is a glass plate and a chevron-shaped frame. Attached to the rear surface on each worklight includes a handle. Each light head is mounted on a rotating U-shaped bracket that allows the head to rotate upward and downward approximately 45 degrees. The bracket is also able to rotate 360 degrees over the side member. Each light head also includes a separately operated ON-OFF switch that controls the operation of the halogen bulbs contained therein.

  • Patent number: 6781129
Abstract: A dual eye motion detector assembly comprising a main infrared sensor head and a secondary infrared sensor head mounted on a mounting box. The main motion sensor head is pivotally mounted to the mounting box and contains a standard infrared motion sensor with an approximate 90 to 180 degree viewing zone. The secondary motion sensor head is also pivotally and independently mounted to the mounting box and contains its own standard infrared motion sensor with an approximately 90 to 180 degree viewing zone. The two motion sensors in the main and secondary motion sensors heads are connected to a circuit panel located the main sensor head. Control switches are mounted on the sides of the main infrared sensor head to control sensitivity and timing. Outside electrical current is delivered to the circuit panel and divided into local circuits to control the operation of at least one lamp so that when an infrared-emitting object passes into the viewing zone of either sensor head, the lamp is automatically activated.

  • Patent number: 6709126
Abstract: A nightlight having a base unit with a central cavity designed to house a light sensor and a printed circuit board. Mounted on the front surface of the base unit is a transversely aligned LED tube. The LED tube is disposed between two struts that extend forward from the front surface of the base unit. Attached to the front surface of the base unit and over the LED tube is a fixed half-spherical lens. Disposed over the lens is a rotating, half-spherical outer cap having an approximately quarter-spherical sized opening that allows a portion of the lens to be exposed so that light from the LED tube may be emitted therethrough. Thus, when the outer cap is selectively rotated around the base unit, the quarter-spherical sized opening is rotated therewith, and a dissipated broad beam of light may be selectively aimed in any direction.

  • Patent number: 6561677
Abstract: A night light having a base unit with a central cavity designed to house a light sensor, a printed circuit board, a light bulb, and a pair of electrical prongs. Attached to the front surface of the base unit is a fixed half-spherical lens. Disposed over the lens is a rotating, half-spherical cap having an approximately quarter-spherical sized opening that allows a portion of the lens to be exposed so that light from the light bulb located inside the lens may shine therethrough. Thus when the outer cap is selectively rotated around the base unit, the quarter-spherical sized opening is rotated therewith, and a dissipated broad beam of light may be selectively aimed in any 360 degree direction.

  • Publication number: 20020191402
Abstract: An adaptable landscape light designed to be used with ½ inch or 3-inch diameter poles. The light includes a light housing with a cylindrical-shaped lower base. Formed on the lower base is a downward extending cavity. Three downward extending tabs are radially and equally spaced apart around the lower base. Each tab includes a threaded bore through which a threaded connector may be selectively attached. Included with the light is a conical-shaped adaptor with a cylindrical-shaped upper section designed to fit into the downward extending cavity formed inside the lower base. Formed on the adaptor is a narrow, centrally aligned neck member with a longitudinally aligned threaded bore formed therein. Formed on the sidewalls of the upper cylindrical section are threaded bores which are aligned with the threaded bores formed on the tabs or sidewalls of the lower base.
