  • Publication number: 20120122475
Abstract: A method and apparatus for estimating a position of an access point (AP) in a Wi-Fi system is provided. The method includes measuring a strength of a signal, transmitted by the AP, at three or more measurement points (MPs), selecting an imaginary attenuation factor, calculating a range between the AP and each of the MPs on the basis of the imaginary attenuation factor and a strength of a signal measured at the MP, calculating an intersecting point of ranging circles in each of which a position of the MP is a center and the range between the MP and the AP is a radius, calculating a best intersecting point from among a plurality of the intersecting points obtained by repeating the calculating the range and the calculating the intersecting point of ranging circles while changing the imaginary attenuation factor, and estimating the best intersecting point as the position of the AP.

  • Publication number: 20110064000
Abstract: A terminal location measuring device includes a database for storing registration information of a plurality of access points (AP's) forming a first infrastructure system for wireless LAN-based indoor location determination. The terminal location measuring device sets a search range of a database by using location information of the terminal acquired through a second infrastructure system that is different from the first infrastructure system, an identifier of at least one of a plurality of AP's, and a signal measurement value. The terminal location measuring device extracts registration information of an AP having the same identifier as at least one AP within the search range of the database, and measures a location of the terminal by using registration information of the AP.

  • Publication number: 20030175909
Abstract: Disclosed are novel thermostable galactose isomerases and production of tagatose using the same. A gene encoding a galactose isomerase with improved thermal stability and reaction equilibrium is screened from natural genetic materials. An expression vector into which the gene is inserted is introduced into bacteria which are then cultured to obtain a thermostable galactose isomerase. In the presence of this enzyme, tagatose is produced from galactose in a yield as high as 46-50% at a temperature as high as 55° C.
