  • Patent number: 10333917
Abstract: A method establishes a session between a network resource and a user device used by a user having a particular sociometric identity. One or more processors identify an interaction between a user and one or more provider entities. The processor(s) identify profiles for the one or more provider entities, and compute a sociometric identity of the user based on the profiles of the one or more provider entities with which the user has had an interaction. One or more processors transmit the sociometric identity to a network resource in order to establish a session between the network resource and a user device used by the user having the sociometric identity.

  • Publication number: 20190182241
Abstract: An anonymized biometric representation of a target individual is used in a computer based security system. A detailed input biometric signal associated with a target individual is obtained. A weakened biometric representation of the detailed biometric signal is constructed such that the weakened biometric representation is designed to identify a plurality of individuals including the target individual. The target individual is enrolled in a data store associated with the computer based security system wherein the weakened biometric representation is included in a record for the target individual. In another aspect of the invention, a detailed input biometric signal from a screening candidate individual is obtained. The detailed biometric signal of the screening candidate is matched against the weakened biometric representation included in the record for the target individual.

  • Patent number: 10243952
Abstract: An anonymized biometric representation of a target individual is used in a computer based security system. The system receives a record of a target individual containing a weakened biometric representation of a detailed biometric signal of the target individual. The weakened biometric representation is designed to identify a plurality of individuals including the target individual when compared to detailed biometric signals corresponding to the plurality of individuals. The system obtains a detailed input biometric signal from a screening candidate individual. • Patent number: 10216995
Abstract: A system and method for generating compact iris representations based on a database of iris images includes providing full-length iris codes for iris images in a database, where the full-length iris code includes a plurality of portions corresponding to circumferential rings in an associated iris image. Genuine and imposter score distributions are computed for the full-length iris codes, and code portions are identified that have a contribution that provides separation between imposter and genuine distributions relative to a threshold. A correlation between remaining code portions is measured. A subset of code portions having low correlations within the subset is generated to produce a compact iris representation.

  • Patent number: 10195901
Abstract: Techniques are provided for alerting drivers of hazardous driving conditions using the sensing capabilities of wearable mobile technology. In one aspect, a method for alerting drivers of hazardous driving conditions includes the steps of: collecting real-time data from a driver of a vehicle, wherein the data is collected via a mobile device worn by the driver; determining whether the real-time data indicates that a hazardous driving condition exists; providing feedback to the driver if the real-time data indicates that a hazardous driving condition exists, and continuing to collect data from the driver in real-time if the real-time data indicates that a hazardous driving condition does not exist. The real-time data may also be collected and used to learn characteristics of the driver. These characteristics can be compared with the data being collected to help determine, in real-time, whether the driving behavior is normal and whether a hazardous driving condition exists.

  • Publication number: 20180322255
Abstract: A computer-implemented method, data processor and computer program product determine exposure levels to external stimuli. At least one environmental condition is monitored and an external stimulus event is identified based on the at least one environmental condition. An intensity level of the external stimulus event is determined to exceed a predetermined threshold. An exposure level of the external stimulus is determined by integrating the intensity level over time. At least one human biometric quantity of a user is measured and a personal exposure level limitation is determined for the user based on the measured at least one human biometric quantity. When the exposure level exceeds the personal exposure level limitation, the user is warned of the exposure level. The human biometric quantity is one of: heart rate, blood pressure, body temperature, glucose level, blood oxygen level, muscle activity, electrolyte level, and lactic acid level.

  • Publication number: 20180300830
Abstract: A computer-implemented method modifies physical classroom resources in a classroom. One or more processors identify and quantify physical classroom resources in the classroom based on sensor readings received from sensors in a classroom. The processor(s) determine physical classroom resource constraints that impede learning by students in the classroom based on the sensor readings from the sensors in the classroom. The processor(s) detect one or more of the physical classroom resource constraints in the physical classroom resources identified by the sensor readings, and then adjust the one or more physical classroom resources based on the one or more detected physical classroom resource constraints.

  • Patent number: 10049307
Abstract: Technical solutions are described for training an object-recognition neural network that identifies an object in a computer-readable image. An example method includes assigning a first neural network for determining a visual alignment model of the images for determining a normalized alignment of the object. The method further includes assigning a second neural network for determining a visual representation model of the images for recognizing the object. The method further includes determining the visual alignment model by training the first neural network and determining the visual representation model by training the second neural network independent of the first. The method further includes determining a combined object recognition model by training a combination of the first neural network and the second neural network. The method further includes recognizing the object in the image based on the combined object recognition model by passing the image through each of the neural networks.
