  • Patent number: 10338561
Abstract: A data generating device includes a memory; and a controller. The memory is configured to store a plurality of sets of drawing information about an index pattern and a laser beam used for drawing the index pattern on a surface of a workpiece in association with respective ones of a plurality of sets of machining contents individually. The index pattern is represented by drawing data. Each of the plurality of machining contents indicates a machining process to be performed on the workpiece to measure deformation of the workpiece. The controller is configured to perform: receiving a generation instruction instructing to start generating the drawing data; designating one set of machining contents from the plurality of sets of machining contents; and generating the drawing data according to designated one set of machining contents and corresponding one of the plurality of sets of drawing information.

  • Patent number: 9091848
Abstract: A wearable display includes a display and a holder. The display emits light toward a light receiver. The holder retains the display in a first position relative to the light receiver when the wearable display is in an operational state. A first area of the display and a second area of the display are the only areas of the display that face the light receiver and are within a field of view of the light receiver when the display is in the first position. The first area is the only area of the first area and the second area in an overlap region when the display is in the first position. The overlap region is a portion of the field of view of the light receiver that overlaps a field of view of another light receiver. The first area is greater than the second area.

  • Patent number: 6409641
Abstract: A cleaning device for a machine tool is provided wherein the machine tool is provided with an automatic tool change mechanism for replacing a tool attached to a main shaft by another tool, and a cutting fluid nozzle for emitting coolant supplied from a coolant pump to a cutting location where a workpiece is machined by a tool. The cleaning device has at least one cleaning nozzle from which clean coolant is sprayed toward portions of the machine tool where adherence of machining chips affects changing of tools. The cleaning nozzle includes a nozzle hole that is open downwards, and an inclined wall that faces the opening of the nozzle hole and is inclined in a direction pointing to the tool. During changing of tools, clean coolant is supplied from the coolant pump to the cleaning nozzles through a filter.

  • Patent number: 6019613
Abstract: A compact electrical connector having a reduced packaging or mounting area includes a housing in which a receptor cavity for receiving a counterpart connector is concavely formed, and contacts fixed in the housing. Each contact includes a contact body that extends in the plug-in direction in which the counterpart connector is received or plugged into the receptor cavity of the housing, and a contact leg that extends outwardly on the base side of the housing. The housing is provided with a slit or slits through side walls thereof to expose the contact bodies to the outside. Thereby the contacts are deflectable. The slits also partially or entirely separate upper and lower portions of the housing from each other, so that the upper housing portion may easily be deflected laterally or rotationally relative to the lower housing portion. Thereby a misalignment-compensating function is achieved.

  • Patent number: 6007464
Abstract: In a tool-changing apparatus for a machine tool, a tool-locking pin and an arm-locking pin are provided in a tool-changing arm and urged upward. When the arm is moved downward by a swinging shaft, the tool-locking pin and the arm-locking pin are moved upward by the urging force of respective springs, and a tapered surface of the tool-locking pin presses an end of a roller shaft projecting from a through-hole of the tool-changing arm, thus preventing a sliding movement of the roller shaft toward the through-hole, and a tapered surface of the arm-locking pin fits in a circular groove formed on the peripheral surface of an arm central shaft coupled with the swinging shaft, thus preventing the rotation of the arm relative to an arm-supporting member. When a tool is mounted into a tool-mounting portion, arm locking is released to enable the arm to move independently of the swinging shaft.

  • Patent number: 5997455
Abstract: A tool clamp mechanism includes a hollow spindle in which a tool can be inserted, the spindle having at least one slot which is axially elongated, a draw bar movably provided in the spindle, and a spindle head which rotatably supports the spindle. A drive ring is provided around the spindle. The drive ring and the draw bar are connected by a connecting pin which penetrates the drive ring and the draw bar through the slot of the spindle. A pusher lever is provided to the spindle head, which urges the drive ring so that the draw bar releases the tool. The drive ring has a contact surface which the pusher lever abuts. The contact surface is positioned ahead of the connecting pin in a pushing direction of the pusher lever.
