Patent number: 9126676Abstract: An electromechanical portion of the control stick includes a two-axis gimbal, with each axis including a mechanical gimbal structure supported by rolling element bearings, cam based centering mechanisms, linkages to connect a geared power-drive including a resolver commutated brushless DC motor and compound-planetary gearhead to provide active force feedback, and several electrically independent RVDT position sensors. The gearing architecture uses a fixed-cage, rotating internal gear arrangement on a planetary gearhead, which may be single or multi-stage. The output torque of the gearhead is provided by a feature on the outer housing of the rotating internal ring gear, allowing an axial placement of the entire power-drive in a more central location, reducing the moment load on the gearhead output cage bearings, and facilitating a compact drive arrangement of the gimbal using linkages. Additionally, a common power-drive can be used for both the roll and pitch axes.Type: GrantFiled: October 22, 2012Date of Patent: September 8, 2015Assignee: Woodward MPC, Inc.Inventors: Matthew P. Publication number: 20140298606Abstract: A barbeque grill scraper and related methods of use that utilize a scraping end formed of a heat-responsive material to remove char and other debris from the grilling surface. The grill scraper includes a conformable scraping edge formed of the heat-responsive material. As the conformable scraping edge is drawn back and forth along the heated grilling surface, a combination of pressure applied by a user as well as the heat of the grill surface results in the formation of individual grooves along the conformable scraping edge, wherein each groove is formed to match an upper profile of the grilling surface. Over time, the grooves fully conform to the upper profile of the grilling surface such that an entire cooking surface can be scraped clean of char and debris.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 23, 2014Publication date: October 9, 2014Inventors: Nathan A. Thompson, Joshua J. Thompson, Jason S. Thompson

Patent number: 6357530Abstract: A system for producing production fluids from a wellbore while removing gas that collects in pockets within the wellbore. The system includes an electric submergible pumping unit. The unit includes a submergible pump powered by a submergible motor. The fluid discharged by the pump is forced through a pressure reduction device, such as a jet pump, to create a low pressure area. This low pressure area is coupled via a conduit to a gas pocket creation area within the wellbore. For example, gas pockets may develop beneath a packer disposed above the electric submergible pumping system. The low pressure area at the pressure reduction device draws the gas into the discharged production fluid and delivers the mixture to a collection at the earth's surface.Type: GrantFiled: September 27, 1999Date of Patent: March 19, 2002Assignee: Camco International, Inc.Inventors: Steven C.
