Abstract: A system and method of dynamic class management includes starting a skeleton application by loading a main class of the skeleton application and executing the main class, detecting a request for a requested class made by a referencing class, loading a class file associated with the requested class from a local storage device when the class file is stored on the local storage device and the requested class is not loaded in memory of the virtual machine, loading the class file from a class storage unit when the class file is not stored on the local storage device and the requested class is not loaded in the memory of the virtual machine, updating an application class graph (ACG) to record a dependency of the referencing class on the requested class, and updating an object table when the request is associated with creation of an object of the requested class.

Abstract: Semiconductor package device, such as wafer-level package semiconductor devices, are described that have pillars for providing electrical interconnectivity. In an implementation, the wafer-level package devices include an integrated circuit chip having at least one pillar formed over the integrated circuit chip. The pillar is configured to provide electrical interconnectivity with the integrated circuit chip. The wafer-level package device also includes an encapsulation structure configured to support the pillar.

Abstract: A method, apparatus and computer-readable storage medium distribute a non-live content stream in a network. An initial meta-file is transmitted in response to a request for the content, which identifies a division of the content stream into blocks, and available sources for delivery of the blocks. The initial meta-file can identify a first multicast and a second multicast server, assigning a first and second portion of the blocks for delivery using the first and second multicast source server, respectively. The first and second portions are transmitted using the first and second multicast source servers, respectively. The first and second portions correspond to distinct non-overlapping portions of the non-live content stream. The initial meta-file can also identify a unicast source server, assigning a third portion of the blocks for delivery using the unicast source server, the third potion being transmitted by the unicast source server.

Abstract: A structure and method for fabricating an improved SiCOH hardmask with graded transition layers having an improved profile for forming sub-20 nm back end of the line (BEOL) metallized interconnects are provided. In one embodiment, the improved hardmask may be comprised of five layers: an oxide adhesion layer, a graded transition layer, a dielectric layer, an inverse graded transition layer, and an oxide layer. In another embodiment, the improved hardmask may be comprised of four layers; an oxide adhesion layer, a graded transition layer, a dielectric layer, and an oxide layer. In another embodiment, a method of forming an improved hardmask may comprise a continuous five step plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition (PECVD) process utilizing a silicon precursor, a porogen, and oxygen. In yet another embodiment, a method of forming an improved hardmask may comprise a continuous four step PECVD process utilizing a silicon precursor, a porogen, and oxygen.

Abstract: An expandable substantially spherical structure for deployment in a blood vessel or other body lumen, comprising: an open frame formed out of a closed loop of filament and configured to assume (i) a collapsed configuration in the form of a substantially two-dimensional elongated loop structure so as to facilitate insertion into the blood vessel or other body lumen, and (ii) an expanded configuration in the form of a three-dimensional substantially spherical structure so as to facilitate retention at a site in the blood vessel or other body lumen; and a flow-restricting face carried by the open frame; wherein the open frame is configured so as to permit substantially normal flow therethrough when the open frame is in its expanded configuration, and further wherein the flow-restricting face is configured so as to restrict flow therethrough.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention relate to heater patterns and related methods of producing hydrocarbon fluids from a subsurface hydrocarbon-containing formation (for example, an oil shale formation) where a heater cell may be divided into nested inner and outer zones. Production wells may be located within one or both zones. In the smaller inner zone, heaters may be arranged at a relatively high spatial density while in the larger surrounding outer zone, a heater spatial density may be significantly lower. Due to the higher heater density, a rate of temperature increase in the smaller inner zone of the subsurface exceeds that of the larger outer zone, and a rate of hydrocarbon fluid production ramps up faster in the inner zone than in the outer zone. In some embodiments, a ratio between a half-maximum sustained production time and a half-maximum rise time of a hydrocarbon fluid production function is relatively large.

Abstract: A method of identifying a component by a response to a challenge is disclosed, the component comprising an array of bipolar transistors connectable in parallel so as to have a common collector contact, a common emitter contact and a common base contact, the challenge comprising a value representative of a total collector current value, the method comprising: receiving the challenge; supplying the total collector current to the common collector contact; detecting instability in each of a group of the transistors; and determining the response in dependence on the group. A circuit configured to operate such a method is also disclosed.

Abstract: An example system for distributing a workload of an application includes a class identifier that identifies a remotely instantiable class in an instruction. Execution of the instruction includes processing a workload. The example system also includes a distributor that selects a remote node to process a portion of the workload, sends a message to the selected remote node to cause (i) the selected remote node to instantiate the remotely instantiable class and (ii) the selected remote node to process the portion of the workload by invoking a method of the instantiated class, and receives a result of the processed portion of the workload.

Abstract: There is provided a system and method for installing a wellhead component in a single trip. Generally, a wellhead component may be run into a wellhead using a running tool. The running tool may then be retrieved from the wellhead and replaced with a locking tool, which is also run into the wellhead. Additional tools may be used to over-pull the wellhead component and to cementing the wellhead component in place. The process of retrieving and running tools into the wellhead is both time-consuming and costly. Accordingly, the disclosed embodiments include a one-trip tool configured to run a wellhead component into a wellhead, engage an internal coupling to lock the wellhead component in place, over-pull the wellhead component to ensure the internal coupling was properly engaged, and cement the wellhead component in place within the wellhead.

Abstract: A system for distributing content to at least one client device is disclosed. A content host has a processor and a content store, a client device has a processor and a content cache and a permissions store has a computer storage device configured to store permissions data corresponding to a recipient of content. The content host processor is configured to receive a content identifier corresponding to a recipient request for permission to cache an item of content. The content host processor will then parse the permissions data to determine if the recipient has available permissions to cache the requested content. If the user has available permissions, the content host processor modifies the permissions data to include permission to cache the content. The recipient may additionally request for permission to cache a given item of content to be removed in order to increase an amount of permissions available to the recipient.

Abstract: A method for firing a green honeycomb ceramic body including heating the green honeycomb ceramic body from room temperature to a first temperature of less than or equal to about 350° C. with at least one heating rate of greater than or equal to about 80° C./hr. The green honeycomb ceramic body may be heated from the first temperature to a second temperature of greater than or equal to about 800° C. at a heating rate of greater than or equal to about 90° C./hr. The green honeycomb ceramic body may be heated from the second temperature to a third temperature of greater than or equal to about 1000° C. The green honeycomb ceramic body may include aluminum raw materials for forming an aluminum titanate ceramic body.

Abstract: A system in some embodiments includes a back pressure valve configured to mount in a mineral extraction system. The back pressure valve comprises a cylindrical body comprising a venting port coaxial with a longitudinal axis of the cylindrical body and a plunger disposed in the venting port, wherein the plunger comprises a stem that extends from the venting port into an adjacent cavity of the cylindrical body. In some embodiments, a method of operating a valve, includes biasing a plunger to an open position, biasing a valve locking mechanism to a locked position in relation to a bore of a mineral extraction system, and biasing a plunger to a closed position.

Abstract: In a wireless near field communication (NFC) system, a target, such as a smart card, can communicate with an initiator, such as a card reader, by load modulating a radio frequency (RF) signal generated by the initiator. When two or more targets load modulate the RF signal generated, “collisions” can occur with the load modulation. Apparatus and methods detect the presence or absence of collisions in a lower layer or physical layer and report the presence of detected collisions to an upper layer for further handling.

Abstract: An inkjet ink composition comprising water, and at least one water-dispersible polyurethane/urea polymer having at least a first soft segment formed from a polyol prepolymer and at least a second soft segment formed from a polyamine prepolymer, wherein the polyol prepolymer forms urethane bonds in the polyurethane/urea and the polyamine prepolymer forms urea bonds in the polyurethane/urea, and further wherein at least about 4% by weight of the combined soft segments is formed by polyamine prepolymers that form urea bonds in the polyurethane/urea polymer.

Abstract: Presented herein are techniques for detection and characterization of buffer occupancy of a buffer in a network device. Packets are received at a network device. The packets are stored in a buffer of the network device as they are processed by the network device. An occupancy level of the buffer is sampled at a sampling rate. Occupancy levels of the buffer over time are determined from the sampling, and traffic flow through the network device is characterized based on the occupancy levels.

Abstract: A balloon trocar includes a cannula assembly including a cannula and an outer sleeve fitting over the cannula. The distal end of the outer sleeve is proximal to the distal end of the cannula. A balloon is coupled to a distal portion of the sleeve and a distal portion of the cannula. The outer surface of the cannula includes a plurality of longitudinal channels for transmitting gas or fluid to the balloon. A bolster having a gel pad at its distal portion is slidably mounted to the cannula assembly and may be locked in a desired position. In use, the trocar is inserted into an incision through a body wall and into a body cavity. The balloon is inflated and the cannula assembly pulled proximally against the incision while the bolster is slid distally to the body wall and locked in place to seal the incision with the compressed balloon.

Abstract: A snubbing plug is configured to enable pressure equalization above and below the plug before it is removed from a mineral extraction well. The pressure may be equalized via fluid pathways through the snubbing plug. While the snubbing operations are ongoing, the fluid pathways are closed and sealed by a valve. Upon completion of the snubbing operations, the valve is opened to enable fluid flow through the pathways. The valve includes a piston disposed within a body of the snubbing plug. The piston may be coupled to pins disposed within L slots in the body. While the valve is closed, the pins are disposed in a horizontal portion of the L slot, blocking vertical movement of the piston. To open the valve, the piston is rotated until the pins reach a vertical portion of the L slot, whereupon a spring biases the piston upward to open the fluid pathways.
