The control logic activates the light producing device in response to receiving data from the signal detectors. After activation, the light producing device illuminates the location of an individual that is near the point of origin of a signal that was detected by the signal detectors.

Abstract: A carrying device for carrying and storing fishing equipment comprises a front surface, a rear surface, a bottom edge, a top edge, a pair of angled opposing side edges and the pair of support straps. The front surface further comprises a main pocket and a plurality of sleeves. The top edge and the pair of angled opposing side edges have a plurality of buttons on the interior of the front surface and the rear surface to close the carrying device. A pair of support straps extends along the vertical length of the front surface and the rear surface has a plurality of support rings and a plurality of fastening straps. The support straps forms the handle of the carrying device.

Each memory cell of the array is programmed by the programming current from the charge pump. An indicator memory cell is associated with each unit of non-volatile memory cells. A programming circuit programs the memory cells of each unit using the programming current, when fifty percent or less of the memory cells of each unit is to be programmed, and programs the inverse of the memory cells of each unit and the indicator memory cell associated with each unit, using the programming current, when more than fifty percent of the memory cells of each unit is to be programmed.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for a multi-tier wireless home mesh network is described. The method may include formation of an infrastructure-less wireless home mesh networking environment comprising a collection of nodes that operate as a decentralized, ad hoc wireless network with multiple sub-networks or tiers that, are responsible for different functions within the network. Each node of the multi-tier network is configured to forward data to other nodes and is assigned to a particular tier based on the node's performance capabilities. A further embodiment includes identification of a wireless home mesh network. Once identified, one or more proprietary messages may be exchanged in a secure manner to establish connections with a home electronics device as either a mobile node or a stationary node of the home network. A home electronics device may wirelessly communicate to route data within one or more nodes of the wireless home mesh network. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

Abstract: A robotic system includes a tendon-driven end effector, a linear actuator, a flexible tendon, and a plate assembly. The linear actuator assembly has a servo motor and a drive mechanism, the latter of which translates linearly with respect to a drive axis of the servo motor in response to output torque from the servo motor. The tendon connects to the end effector and drive mechanism. The plate assembly is disposed between the linear actuator assembly and the tendon-driven end effector and includes first and second plates. The first plate has a first side that defines a boss with a center opening. The second plate defines an arcuate through-slot having tendon guide channels. The first plate defines a through passage for the tendon between the center opening and a second side of the first plate. A looped end of the flexible tendon is received within the tendon guide channels.

Abstract: A multimode flow meter can use both the time-of-transit of upstream and downstream ultrasonic signals and time for transmission of downstream-only signals to determine a flow velocity of a medium flowing through a conduit. Based on factors, such as previously computed flow velocity and signal-to-noise ratio of the upstream signal, a mode of operation may be switched and only the time for transmission of the downstream signals may be used to determine flow velocity. The multimode flow meter can compute cross-flow to reduce its effect on the determination of flow velocity.

Abstract: Techniques are provided for communications between high-definition multimedia interface (HDMI) devices. The techniques describe a system comprising a first or transmitter adapter device that is electrically connected to a source HDMI device. The first adapter device is configured to receive one or more source HDMI signals from the source device across a first HDMI link and to convert the source HDMI signals to corresponding one or more 10GBase-T data signals configured to be transmitted across a data link. A second or receiver adapter device electrically connected to the first adapter device across the data link. The second adapter device is configured to receive the 10GBase-T data signals from the first adapter device across the data link, convert the 10GBase-T data signals to corresponding one or more destination HDMI signals and send the destination HDMI signals to a destination HDMI device electrically connected to the second adapter device.

Abstract: A mechanism for providing an operating system history is disclosed. A method includes placing, by an operating system (OS) of a processing device, a pointer to context of a first application in a history context of plurality of applications in a direct interface array (DIR) of the OS upon indication of switching from an interface of a first application to the interface of a second application. The method also includes moving the pointer from the context of the first application to the context of the second application in the DIR in view of an indication of a closing of the interface of the second application. The second application is closed in a foreground of the OS and is executing in a background of the OS. The method further includes providing the interface of the second application in the foreground of the OS upon activation of a global back function.

Abstract: In a system, in one embodiment, having a page server for transmitting pages upon request and a page client (or “web browser”) for requesting pages and presenting those pages to an operator, the page client dynamically identifies links subsequent to the loaded page and preloads pages identified by those links for subsequent presentation to the operator, so that the preloaded pages are preloaded dynamically in response to operator selections and are available for presentation to the operator when ultimately selected. The page server and the page client may act independently or may cooperate so as to dynamically select and preload pages from the page server to the page client using parameters indicated by the page client (such as parameters selected by the operator or adaptively determined by the page client), etc. The page client may dynamically save and recall behavior information about pages to be presented.
