  • Patent number: 9306998
Abstract: Example systems and methods of content sharing via social networking are presented. In one example, availability of a first user device to provide media content over a communication network is detected. A second user device is identified via an association of the first user device with the second user device that is specified in a social network. An acceptance by the second user device to receive the media content from the first user device is determined. In response to the acceptance, transmission of the media content provided by the first user device over the communication network to the second user device is initiated.

  • Publication number: 20150355804
Abstract: In an example embodiment, an indication is received via a user interface in a first mobile device to begin recording live video on the first mobile device. Then the recording of live video is begun by the first mobile device in response to the receiving of the indication. The live video is displayed in the user interface as it is being recorded. A gesture by a user of the first mobile device is detected. In response to the detection of the gesture, the broadcasting of the live video as it is being recorded to a plurality of mobile devices other than the first mobile device is begun. Then, in the user interface along with the live video, identifications of a plurality of users corresponding to the plurality of mobile device other than the first mobile device to which the live video is being broadcast are displayed.

  • Publication number: 20150350691
Abstract: In an example embodiment, a gesture indication generated by a mobile device in response to a user gesture on a user interface of the mobile device with respect to a video currently being recorded by the mobile device is received. Availability notifications are then issued to the one or more potential visitors in the listing. A visit request is received from one of the one or more potential visitors, and then a host invitation is issued to the mobile device. In response to an indication that the user device has permitted the potential visitor corresponding to the visit request to view the video currently being recorded as a live video broadcast, the video currently being recorded is broadcast to the potential visitor corresponding to the visit request.

  • Publication number: 20150346940
Abstract: In an example embodiment, a gesture indication is received from a mobile device, the gesture indication having been generated by the mobile device in response to a user gesture on a user interface of the mobile device with respect to a video currently being recorded by the mobile device. Then a social network service is accessed to obtain a listing of one or more potential visitors to view the video, the listing being automatically generated based at least partially on user preferences set by a user of the mobile device. Availability notifications are issued to the one or more potential visitors in the listing. A visit request is received from one of the one or more potential visitors. In response to the receiving of a visit request, the video currently being recorded is broadcast to the potential visitor corresponding to the visit request.

  • Publication number: 20150346927
Abstract: In an example embodiment, a plurality of still images are displayed in a user interface of a first mobile device, each still image corresponding to a different live video broadcast currently being broadcast by a plurality of mobile devices other than the first mobile device, the still image corresponding to each different live video broadcast being a single frame of a previously recorded portion of the corresponding live video broadcast. A live video broadcast corresponding to a selected one of the plurality of still images is broadcast from a second mobile device to the first mobile device. Then at least some of the plurality of still images are removed and space made available by the removing is used to display the live video broadcast responding to the selected one of the plurality of still images in a larger area than the selected one of the still images.

  • Publication number: 20150350358
Abstract: In an example embodiment, availability of a first user mobile device to broadcast real-time streaming live media content generated by the first user mobile device is detected. A second user mobile device is identified. Then an acceptance by the second user mobile device to receive the real-time streaming live media content from the first user mobile device is detected. In response to the acceptance, transmission of the real-time streaming live media content provided by the first user mobile device to the second user mobile device is initiated. An indication of positive feedback is received from the second user mobile device regarding the real-time streaming live media content. The positive feedback from the second user mobile device and other user mobile devices is tracked, and an indication of tracked positive feedback regarding the real-time streaming live media content is provided to a third user mobile device.
