  • Publication number: 20170156162
Abstract: Methods and arrangements for enabling contention resolution of uplink transmissions ata radio network node (120). A wireless communication device (110) sends (3010; 4010) an access request to the radio network node (120). The wireless communication device (110) receives (3040; 4040) an access grant from the radio network node (120) and then sends (3050-3110; 4050-4110), to the radio network node (120), at least two data blocks. At least two data blocks includes only one occurrence of a unique device identity and at least one occurrence of a reduced ID that is represented by fewer bits than the unique device ID.

  • Patent number: 9654270
Abstract: A method for a GSM/EDGE node (105, 130), comprising establishing a TBF to another node and entering a transmit state in which data blocks are transmitted via said TBF to said other node. The transmit state is left if (205) there are no data blocks to transmit and positive ACK/NACKs have been received for transmitted data blocks, and, upon leaving said transmit state, a timer is started for the release of said TBF and a predefined TBF mode is entered in which the TBF is regarded (230) as released if the TBF release timer expires before data blocks are received by the network node to transmit to the other node, while, if data blocks are received by the network node to transmit to the receiving node, the predefined TBF mode is exited, the timer is stopped (225) and reset, and the first state is entered.

  • Publication number: 20160366664
Abstract: A radio network node receives a page request from a core network node. The page request indicates to page a wireless communication device. The radio network node determines a next occurrence of a monitoring window during which the wireless communication device will monitor a paging channel associated with the radio network node. If the amount of time until the next occurrence of the monitoring window exceeds an amount of time that the radio network node can store the page request, the radio network node discards the page request and sends a response to the core network node indicating that the page request was discarded; the response includes a paging timer value that indicates when the core network node should repeat the page request.

  • Publication number: 20160295498
Abstract: An E-UTRAN neighbor cell list is broadcast in a GERAN network using the extended EARFCN value ranges (i.e., 18 bits). Extending the EARFCN value ranges in GERAN and signaling EARFCN values within the extended EARFCN value range to inter-RAT-capable UEs that camp in GERAN allow GERAN to support continued inter-RAT mobility between GERAN and E-UTRAN networks. E-UTRAN neighbor cell information may be communicated to UEs in the GERAN network by System Information message broadcasts using the extended EARFCN value ranges.

  • Patent number: 9461473
Abstract: Embodiments disclose using a pairing or pairings of terminals in a DC power system including a plurality of terminals to implement power oscillation damping (POD), where the DC power system is connectable to at least one AC power system. The active and/or reactive power of the terminals in the pairing may be controlled or modulated in a similar manner such that no power imbalance in the DC power system is created. For example, POD may be implemented by means of active and/or reactive power modulation by pairing two terminals in the DC power system) such that their active and/or reactive powers are controlled or modulated in the same or substantially the same manner or identically but with the opposite sign.
