    Abstract: Methods, devices and media for reducing register pressure in flexible vector processors are described. In various embodiments described herein, methods, devices and media are disclosed that selectively re-scalarize vector instructions in a sequence of instructions such that register pressure is reduced and thread level parallelism is increased. A compiler may be used to perform a first method to partially or fully scalarize vectorized instructions of a code region of high register pressure. A compiler may be used to perform a second method to fully scalarize a sequence of vectorized instructions while preserving associations of the scalar instructions with their original vectorized instructions; the scalar instructions may then be scheduled and selectively re-vectorized. Devices executing code compiled with either method are described, as are processor-readable media storing code compiled by either method.

The method further includes deriving intra-modal relevant information while suppressing intra-modal irrelevant information, based on intra-modal interactions between elementary ones of the features of the input hypothesis and between elementary ones of the features of the input premise. The method also includes attaching cross-modal relevant information to the features from the input premise to the features from the input hypothesis to form a cross-modal representation, based on cross-modal interactions between pairs of different elementary features from different modalities.

    Abstract: A wireless communication method and device include: a transmitting device dividing a to-be-transmitted signal into a plurality of packets by using a pre-agreed key; acquiring a preset equivocation threshold; according to the equivocation threshold, determining a power parameter adjustment factor for each of the packets; for each of the packets, performing power adjustment on a signal of the packet according to a power parameter adjustment factor of the packet; and transmitting the to-be-transmitted signal after power adjustment. After receiving the signal, the receiving device groups the signals according to the pre-agreed key, and calculates the power of each packet; determines a test statistic according to the power of each packet, and determines the test statistic whether the quantity is greater than or equal to a preset statistic threshold. If so, it determines that the signal is a tag signal, and if not, that it is a regular signal.

    Abstract: For wireless communication method, a to-be-transmitting signal is divided into (n+1) packets using a key pre-agreed to by a transmitter and a receiver, where n is a positive integer. The to-be-transmitted signal comprising a regular signal and a tag signal, said tag signal forming an authentication signal. When the difference between received amplitude values of the regular signal and tag signal fail to meet a first pre-determined requirement, a first power parameter adjustment factor is determined for the n packets preceding an (n+1)th packet and a second power parameter adjustment factor is determined for the (n+1)th packet, as well as an energy-limited condition of the to-be-transmitted signal power. The transmitted power of the respective (n+1) packets is then adjusted according to the corresponding power parameter adjustment factor before the to-be-transmitted signal is transmitted.

    Abstract: A method for scheduling instructions for execution on a computer system includes scanning a plurality of loop instructions that are modulo scheduled to identify a first instruction and a second instruction that both utilize a register of the computer system upon execution of the plurality of instructions. The loop has a first initiation interval. The first instruction defines a first value of the register in a first iteration of the loop and he second instruction redefines the value of the register to a second value in a subsequent iteration of the loop prior to a use of the first value in the first iteration of the loop. A copy instruction is inserted in the loop instructions to copy the first value prior to execution of the second instruction. A schedule is determined after the insertion of the one or more copy instructions giving a second initiation interval.

    Abstract: There is provided a method, apparatus and network node for determining an optimal functional unit for currently scheduled instructions. Embodiments divide the function unit assignment problem into separate assessments and subsequently reconciling any conflicts arising from different conclusions for the optimal functional unit. The separate assessments of the optimal functional unit relate to assessment of the optimal functional unit in terms of instruction bundling and the optimal functional unit in terms of latency. For the selection of the best functional unit in terms of instruction bundling, consideration regarding maximizing the size of instruction bundle is considered while taking into account the priority of instructions in the available queue. For the selection of the best functional unit in terms of latency, the most important successor of instruction node is primarily considered.

    Abstract: In a method of security detection for a physical layer authentication a transmitter transmits a first signal, which, after passing over a wireless fading channel becomes a second signal. An active adversary receives the second signal and determines a first false alarm probability based. The adversary may determine a first optimal threshold by setting the first false alarm probability less than or equal to an upper bound, and then determine a first detection probability. A receiver device also receives the second signal, extracts an object signal from it, determines a residual signal from the object signal, and a second testing statistic. The receiver may then determine a second optimal threshold and a second detection probability. Based on the first and second detection probabilities, the system may determine a probability of security authentication and thus measure the safety of the physical layer authentication system.
