  • Publication number: 20010010218
Abstract: A stroke identifying unit, for an electronic fuel injection control system of an engine, can identify cylinder strokes without detection of the rotation of the engine's camshaft. The stroke identifying unit includes a crank pulse generator for detecting a phase of a crankshaft of the engine. In a four cylinder engine, an intake pressure sensor detects the combined intake pressures in the second to fourth intake pipes, communicating with the second to fourth cylinders. A fuel injection control unit identifies strokes of the first to fourth cylinders on the basis of a relationship between the detected phase of the crankshaft and the detected intake pressures.

  • Patent number: 5808106
Abstract: 2-(.omega.-alkoxycarbonyl alkanoyl)-4-butanolide can be produced unexpectedly with a high selectivity and yield through condensation reaction of .gamma.-butyrolactone with a highly available, lo.omega.-price dicarboxylate as represented by the following general formula:ROOC(CH2)nCOOR(where n denotes an integer of 7-13, and R denotes an alkyl group or an alkenyl group). Furthermore, a long-chain .omega.-hydroxycarboxylic acid can be produced by subjecting 2-(.omega.-alkoxycarbonyl alkanoyl)-4-butanolide to hydrolysis and decarboxylation and reducing the carbonyl groups in the resultant product into methylene groups.

  • Patent number: 5734621
Abstract: A semiconductor memory device includes: a first memory cell array and a second memory cell array for receiving a first control signal, a second control signal, and a third control signal so as to be controlled by the first control signal, the second control signal, and the third control signal. Data stored in the first memory cell array is read when the first control signal and the second control signal are placed in an enable state. Data stored in the second memory cell array is read when the second control signal and the third control signal are placed in an enable state.

  • Patent number: 5461521
Abstract: In a magnetic disk unit, a magnetic head slider member for holding a magnetic head is floated from a recording face of a magnetic disk by an air flow caused by a high speed rotation of the magnetic disk. The magnetic disk unit has a magnetic head moving device for rotatably supporting the magnetic head slider member and positioning the magnetic head in a radial direction of the magnetic disk. A control method of the magnetic disk unit has the steps of reciprocating the magnetic head slider member a predetermined number of times at a high speed in a predetermined range in the radial direction of the magnetic disk by using a position of the magnetic head slider member as a reference in the radial direction of the magnetic disk provided when it is detected that a data error is included in reproduced data at a reproducing time of recorded data; and again reproducing the same recorded data after the reciprocating movement of the magnetic head slider member.

  • Patent number: 5289424
Abstract: In a pseudo-static random access memory of the invention, refresh operations are conducted in a normal mode and a self-refresh mode. The memory includes a plurality of bit-line pairs each having two bit lines, a precharge voltage generating circuit for precharging the plurality of bit-line pairs to a first potential level during a precharge period in the normal mode, the circuit being electrically connected to the plurality of bit-line pairs during the precharge period in the normal mode; and bit line discharge circuit for discharging the bit-line pairs during a precharge period in the self-refresh mode, thereby decreasing the potential level of the bit-line pairs to a second potential level which is below the first potential level.

  • Patent number: 5179296
Abstract: A charge pump circuit having a pumping capacitor is provided. A first terminal of the pumping capacitor is connected to a V.sub.CC power source through a P-MOS transistor, and grounded via an N-MOS transistor. The gates of these transistors receive a signal in which the HIGH level and the LOW level are alternately repeated. A second terminal of the pumping capacitor is grounded via an N-MOS transistor. The gate of the N-MOS transistor is connected to a terminal through a capacitor, and also to the second terminal of the pumping capacitor via an N-MOS transistor the gate of which is grounded. The second terminal is connected to an external circuit through an N-MOS transistor. The gate of the N-MOS transistor is connected to a terminal through a capacitor, and also to the output terminal through an N-MOS transistor the gate of which is connected to the node.
