  • Patent number: 5396081
Abstract: A radiation image read-out apparatus comprises a device for holding a stimulable phosphor sheet along a cylindrical surface, an optical element for transmitting one of stimulating rays and light emitted by the stimulable phosphor sheet and reflecting the other thereof, and a spinner, which is provided with a deflection mirror and a condensing lens. The deflection mirror reflects the stimulating rays coming from the optical element toward the stimulable phosphor sheet. The condensing lens is located in the optical path of the stimulating rays having been reflected by the deflection mirror and converges the stimulating rays on the stimulable phosphor sheet. The condensing lens also converges the emitted light at a predetermined converging position. The deflection mirror and the condensing lens are rotated together to scan the stimulating rays on the stimulable phosphor sheet in a main scanning direction. The stimulable phosphor sheet is moved in a sub-scanning direction.

  • Patent number: 5047643
Abstract: A radiation image read-out apparatus comprises a sheet holding device for holding a stimulable phosphor sheet on a cylindrical surface, and a spinner having a deflection mirror for reflecting stimulating rays coming from a semi-transparent mirror to the stimulable phosphor sheet, and a condensing lens which converges the reflected stimulating rays on the stimulable phosphor sheet and which has equal focal lengths with respect to stimulating rays and light emitted by the stimulable phosphor sheet. The deflection mirror and the condensing lens rotate together to scan the stimulating rays on the stimulable phosphor sheet in a main scanning direction, which sheet is moved in a sub-scanning direction. A detection lens converges the emitted light, which has passed through the condensing lens and comes from the semi-transparent mirror.

  • Patent number: 4886968
Abstract: A radiation image read-out apparatus comprises a sheet holding device for holding an image-recorded stimulable phosphor sheet on a cylindrical surface, and a spinner provided with a deflection mirror for reflecting stimulating rays coming from a semi-transparent mirror to the stimulable phosphor sheet, and a condensing lens for converging the reflected stimulating rays on the stimulable phosphor sheet. The spinner rotates the deflection mirror and the condensing lens to scan the stimulating rays in a main scanning direction on the stimulable phosphor sheet, and the sheet holding device is moved normal to the main scanning direction. A detection lens converges light emitted by the stimulable phosphor sheet upon exposure to the stimulating rays, passing through the condensing lens and coming from the semi-transparent mirror.

  • Patent number: 4830503
Abstract: A reflection density measuring system comprises an incubator in which a plurality of chemical assay slides can be accommodated and arranged in one plane, a light source disposed outside the incubator, and a measuring head connected to the light source by way of a fiber optic member. The measuring head is movable to be opposed to each of the chemical assay slides in the incubator under deformation of the fiber optic member, and the fiber optic member is formed of an optical fiber bundle at least at the portion at which the fiber optic member is deformed in response to movement of the measuring head.

  • Patent number: 4823169
Abstract: A reflection density measuring system comprises a light source for projecting an irradiation light onto the surface-to-be-measured of a sample and a photodetector which has a photosensor for detecting light reflected by the surface-to-be-measured of the sample to impinge upon the photosensor through a light receiving surface of the photodetector. The distance r between the center of the light receiving surface of the photodetector and the optical axis of the irradiation light is r.sub.o, the distance h between the center of the light receiving surface and the surface-to-be-measured as measured along the optical axis of the irradiation light is h.sub.o, and the angle .theta. which the light receiving surface forms with the surface-to-be-measured is .theta.o, h.sub.o being the value of h at which output I of the photosensor takes a peak value on an output curve representing the change of the output I of the photosensor with the distance h when the distance h is varied under the combination of r.sub.o and .
