  • Patent number: 5491592
Abstract: A reproducing apparatus of a recording medium, which has address data recorded thereon, a set of data discretely recorded in a plurality of small recording areas thereon, and information indicative of connective relationships between the small recording areas recorded thereon. The reproducing apparatus includes a readout device, a memory, and a controller. The readout device reads data and address data recorded on the recording medium. The memory stores the information indicative of connective relationships between the small recording areas in the data read by the readout device. The controller controls the readout device in high-speed reproduction to repeatedly make an access in accordance with the information stored in the memory and read the data stored in the small recording areas in units of a predetermined data amount.

  • Patent number: 5473590
Abstract: A method of performing data compression of audio data and sequentially recording the data on a disk in units of the data, each unit being formed of a predetermined amount of the data. In the method, there is provided a means for detecting a breakpoint of the audio data. The audio data is continuously recorded by joining, even at the breakpoint, the data preceding and subsequent to the breakpoint, thereby forming the unit data. A piece of information indicating the position of the breakpoint is recorded on the disk. When an operation to suspend or stop the recording operation has been made, the last data immediately before the suspended or stopped point is included in the unit data and recorded as a portion of the unit data. The following data is recorded started from new unit data. When the last recorded data is short of a unit data amount, the remaining portion of the unit data amount is filled with data of a special pattern.

  • Patent number: 5453967
Abstract: A disc recording apparatus includes a first encoder, a memory, a second encoder, a head apparatus and a controller. The first encoder compresses an input signal. The memory once stores the compressed data compressed by the first encoder. The second encoder encodes the read out data from the memory in a predetermined unit. The head apparatus is supplied with the recording data from the second encoder and records the recording data on the disc. The controller controls the memory and the head apparatus so that when data is left in the memory in the record stop state, the record operation by the head apparatus is intermitted after the data in the memory is read out and entirely recorded on the disc.

  • Patent number: 4988529
Abstract: The invention relates to milk shakes wherein ingredients of 45-70 weight % of water, 15.3-40 weight % of carbohydrates containing 15-35 weight % of sugar and 0.3-1.3 weight % of alcohol, and 1-7 weight % of protein and 1-25 weight % of oil/fat are mixed and ice cream obtained by filtering, homogenizing, sterilizing, cooling, aging, freezing at an overrun percentage of 10 to 100, kneading with tiny pieces of ice, filling in packing containers and hardened and the ice cream so obtained is shaken and mixed at a temperature in a range of -20.degree. C. to 8.degree. C. with or without addition of some syrup such as a fruit sauce or the like to make a milk shake.
