  • Publication number: 20120189663
Abstract: The present invention aims to produce a safe and reliable medical composition, which efficiently boosts nonspecific immunity of antigen-presenting cells and thereby promotes an antitumor activity. To produce the medical composition, antigen-presenting cells such as dendritic cells are exposed to an activating reagent containing baculoviruses. Then, the antigen-presenting cells are separated from the activating reagent. The antigen-presenting cells are optionally cultured after the separation. Furthermore, an absence of the baculoviruses in the composition are optionally checked. The medical composition produced by the present invention is expected to have an outstanding therapeutic effect.

  • Publication number: 20110308291
Abstract: A titanium slab is appropriate for hot rolling, is produced by electron beam melting furnace, has superior linearity so that it can be fed into a hot rolling machine without performing breaking down process or other subsequent correcting process after production, and has good structure having no cracks at the corner parts. A process for production thereof is also provided. The titanium slab is directly produced by a mold of an electron beam melting furnace, and has the deformation of not more than 5 mm for the thickness direction versus the longitudinal direction and deformation of not more than 2.5 mm for the width direction versus the longitudinal direction, both per a length of 1000 mm of the slab. The process for production of this titanium slab for hot rolling has a step of using an electron beam melting furnace in which its rectangular mold has mold walls of a long side and mold walls of a short side, and a step of pouring molten metal from one of the mold walls of a short side.

  • Patent number: 7931211
Abstract: A pressurizing piston has a head section, which contacts an axial end face of a piezoelectric actuator to receive displacement of the actuator, and a piston wall section, which is formed in a cylindrical shape and can move in an axial direction in response to the movement of the head section. The head section and the piston wall section are combined such that relative displacement therebetween is possible in a radial direction. An outer sleeve slidably holding an outer periphery of the piston wall section restricts radial movement of the head section. When an expansion-contraction direction of the actuator inclines with respect to the axial direction, inclination of the piston wall section is inhibited by a radial deviation caused between the head section and the piston wall section. Thus, pinching of the piston wall section to the outer sleeve is inhibited.
